Ive heard that quality control on these lenses isnt great, but based on my experience only with this one lens, Im very impressed. Most reviews praise the vintage character of the lens, which I completely agree with. Im also pleasantly surprised at how sharp it gets when stopped down a bit. Even wide open, its plenty sufficient for my expectations. I dont feel like Im sacrificing image quality for the sake of price and charm. Solid fit for my Fujifilm X-T100. Build quality and size are great too!

I took some photos after receiving the lens and they were always very blurry. Initially I thought I just hadn't focused properly, but that happened every time. Since then I have done some testing and the lens is just bad at every aperture, nothing in the frame is ever even remotely sharp, even the center. I don't expect that much from a relatively inexpensive lens but other reviews have been good for this lens. Do I have just a bad copy?I am contacting the support to find out if they give me a replacement.

I bought it to use in my XPro2, the size and weight are perfect for it, just a little smaller than the Fujinon 23mm f2All metallic, good finishes. The diaphragm ring has clicks, they are smooth but firm, the focus ring has a comfortable roundThe few photos I shot show good quality, at large apertures you can see some loss of sharpness in the corners, but it is not exaggerated.Considering its price, it is an excellent alternative in this type of lens
Placed on a Fujifilm X-S10 it did pretty well in low light and walk around photography. IQ is pretty good and the large aperture gives good subject separation. Some barrel distortion and the image gets soft with the lens wide open but for people and some subjects this isn't really a big deal.

Firstly, the quality of manufacturing seems to be high, with a metal body, the focus and de-clicked aperture rings all move smoothly, and the mount fits tightly. Secondly, the image. I use it on a Fuji x-t10, and at f/1.2 it is sharp in the center and the corners are not, but it has a real glow. At f/5.6 it starts to sharpen up across the frame, and at f/8 it is sharp all over. At f/16, if you have the light, it is also very acceptable. Thirdly, value for money. I managed to get mine for 95, and that is extremely good value for what you get, if you don't mind manual focusing and aperture control. the lens seems to be a good addition, i have to use it a little more often to get used to it. i would recommend this lens as an addition to your arsenal. i am also a starting photographer and having this lens has made me aware of differentiating focusing and light use.
I bought this lens as a compact option for traveling this summer. I purchased it from the store in New York. I've got to say I'm not very satisfied with this lens. I was hoping that it would make a usable image wide open, but I really haven't had much luck getting any sharpness at its wide aperture. Shooting on my X-T4, I wish I had opted for a Fujifilm prime. Maybe I got a bad example? I do appreciate the compact size, and the nostalgia of manual focus.
I got this for my x-e4 - after selling my fuji 35 f/2 I missed that focal length. So when I read some reviews & saw some YouTube videos I was interested in trying this one out. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality.I found the trick with manual with fuji is to shoot in b&w and use red or yellow highlight for focused edges. Works like a charm!
