The 50mm f/1.8 Lens from 7artisans is a versatile optic designed for Fujifilm X-mount mirrorless cameras, characterized by its compact size and suitability for portrait photography. With a maximum aperture of f/1.8, this lens offers an excellent combination of portability and speed, making it ideal for daily use. To enhance image quality, a multi-layer coating has been applied to minimize ghosting and flare, thereby achieving improved contrast and color accuracy, particularly in challenging lighting situations and backlit environments. The manual focus mechanism allows for close-up work with subjects positioned as near as 1.6 feet, while its 12-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing, rounded bokeh effect. Portrait-length prime is designed for APS-C-format Fujifilm X-mount mirrorless cameras and offers a 75mm equivalent focal length. Bright f/1.8 maximum aperture benefits working with shallow depth of field and selective focus techniques, and also suits photographing in low-light conditions. Multi-layer coating has been applied to individual elements and reduces flare and ghosting in order to produce greater contrast and color accuracy when working in strong lighting conditions. Manual focus design permits working with subjects as close as 1.6'. Depth of field and distance scales aid pre-focusing and zone focusing techniques. Rounded 12-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality.

The 5 stars is not for absolute quality, only value for $. I shoot multicam video with both full frame and aps-c, and this lens has come in handy as an extra medium length fast lens in my bag. It's almost free (comparatively), so I picked it up on a whim. I wouldn't shoot a product catalog with it, but the shallow depth of field, and speed have proved quite nice on occasion.

Nice weight to the lens. Works well. Photos and video look great
Very good quality!
Got to take some great photos with this already! Can’t beat the price
to my surprise it's wildly versatile, with this being my first purchase of a fully manual lens, I'm excited to take it out more into the field and take some experiment shots. recently took it to a shoot for video and it came in clutch since lighting was a bit dark.for under $100 i think that this is an absolute steal for someone starting out like me.
this product goes over the sony grip. the only thing i would have to take off on this product is that it is has less friction than the small grip piece but it still is easily to hold and use. small takeaway but i don't have any regrets. the case looks amazing.
