Got these as a birthday present and loving them so far! I'm usually a size 8 but got these in a 7 and they fit great, pretty comfortable from the get go too. I was worried about the width but they do not feel tight at all and don't rub my feet like other shoes usually do.Obviously they require a bit of breaking in, they are quite heavy and chunky so wear them around the house first before walking for miles in them. The padding around the ankle is amazing, one of the reasons I went for this style.Really enjoying stomping around in these beauties, would definitely recommend to people who want a lil extra bit of height. 10/10 would recommend!

I loved the design and look of these shoes, so I ordered size 8&9 just in case one didn’t fit. Sadly, neither fit. One was to big while the other ran small. An 8.5 would have been perfect, but Dr. Martin doesn’t make half sizes…so such is life. ;-;

Overall I do like this shoe.The fit is fine but I would say it is a bit on the bigger side. I need to use heel grips since my heel is slipping up in the back.I love the style which is why I ordered them but when they arrived part of the shinny finish on the leather appears to have rubbed off.I haven't tried to polish them yet so I don't know if there is any way I can restore it myself.

These shoes rule, look great with almost anything, and are EASILY the most comfortable Docs I’ve ever worn. They still needed to be broken in, but it was a mercifully fast process.The only complaint I have is that the sizing is definitely off. I wear an 8 in all Doc boots, so I bought these in an 8 as well.They’re definitely a bit big, but not so big that I need to return them. I worry that the 7 might somehow be too small anyway.Just be aware that the sizing is weird on these, and know you might need to exchange them if you guess wrong on which size you’ll need.

I bought these for a basic work shoe! They felt comfortable to me right out of the box (a rarity for docs, if you are a frequent doc buyer). I chose my usual size and they fit great. I will mention that if you have a slim foot, it feel a tad wide - I’ve been doubling up on my socks since the shoes can’t be tied any tighter (my socks are pretty thin also) and it’s been working just fine!
I have 4 pairs of docs, all purchased directly from docs over the past few years, ALL size 7’s (I typically wear either 7.5 or 8 in EVERY other brand of shoes but all other docs styles run big). I bought these in a size 7 since all my other docs fit PERFECTLY (even similar styles like my bex smooth leather oxfords). These were so sadly TOO SMALL. I waited so long to buy these as they were always out of stock and finally bought them in my true docs size just to find that they don’t fit. So disappointing. Had to return. Apparently these run “true to size” compared to other brands and therefore run “small” compared to every other style of docs…. VERY ANNOYING.
My daughter wanted these for Christmas and they didn't disappoint! She loved the new style upper and the platform sole. She's a size 5 and these were true to size, although she says that most Docs need a bit of "breaking in" when they're new, which is usual with leather shoes. She's very happy with them and they're definitely in her collection of favourite Docs!
If doc martens can figure out a way of making a platform shoe that is not so heavy, that would be fantastic! The shoes are comfortable, especially with the padding on the back edge, however, I have to wear two pairs of socks to avoid the feeling that they were going to come off. I even went down a size and you still feel a bit of slippage. It is all due to the heaviness of the rubber on the platform. Maybe a lightweight rubber with the same effect? The quality and construction are perfect, it is just the heaviness.
i usually wear a 8.5 in other shoes depending on where i go so i got an 8 a while ago thinking that would be fine but they were wayyy to floppy. with these i got a 7 and these fit a lot (!!!) better. to break them in , i wore them to work every day for a week and i wore two pairs of socks that whole week. now i wear them to work most days and they feel fine. i will say, my right pinky toe will rub against the shoe after i wear them for a while (at least a few hours) but i think i just have a crazy pinky toe bc it’s just the one side. for size reference , my feet are built pretty narrow and i wear a 8.5 women’s in converse and a 8.5 women’s in vans. i got womens 7 in my docs.
