Great controller all around. Amazing value for $70. Build quality is solid, buttons are pretty standard with back buttons. Joysticks are hall effect sticks that supposedly doesn't cause any drift, and most importantly, doesn't have any dead zones. The control using these joysticks with no dead zone is very responsive and can't be described in words. Won't be able to comment on longevity but just for how it performs, it is worth the price for sure. Not to mention the charging dock and the integrated usb passthrough for the dongle is a very nice bonus.

There is only 2 minor flaws, but can be easily fixed with a few mods. The triggers can be set to like 15-20% of a trigger press, But I like trigger stops. There is something satisfying about the button stopping. I set the triggers to register 100% at about 15% of pressing the trigger in the 8bitdo software. I am going to use a 3D ABS Pen to make a trigger stop and fill the area so the trigger will stop on the case. The second is the back buttons. They are flush and with my big hands its difficult to press. So I bought a pack of those little cabinet door silicon dots that silent close things that have like 3m tape or adhesive on them. They are like 10mm round and like 2mm tall. I put them on the back buttons to be easier to press. I also purchased the Skull and co. Grips for xbox 1/xbox x and they fit perfectly on these Joysticks. This Controller is the Closest thing to Perfection for a FPS Gamer. Not only do you get aim assist you also have the precision of a mouse. Best dang controller I've ever used hands down. 8bitdo>Everyone Else. Also did I mention even if your PC has Bluetooth still use a USB C cable because then you can Overclock it and it gets even more amazing. VERY LOW INPUT LAG!!!! Make dang sure you buy the 8bitdo Ultimate Bluetooth Model Only. As that Bluetooth Ultimate is the ONLY version that has these Hall Effect Joysticks. I'm just a normal guy that works a 9-5 and I game at night and this controller has me aiming like a Pro. My Kills in COD has tripled and I'm not joking. Do yourself a favor and find one of these Ultimate Bluetooth model Controllers and use it. You will thank me later...

Finally! A good dpad has been eluding me since getting the Switch! I'm not sure why Nintendo dropped the ball so hard on what they perfected 40 years ago. The pro controller was nearly perfect, but that d-pad... I love playing Tetris 99 but until now I was forced to play in handheld or use the grip. Same with the retro games and any other games that need a good d-pad to play. Everything else is great too, the buttons all feel great, and the joysticks do as well.The included stand is a nice touch, having a cubby hole for the dongle is a brilliant extra touch.This is officially my favorite controller of all time. incredible value for the quality!

Honestly feels great in the hands and it's build quality seems great at first. But after just a week of use, the right stick now will get stuck in the bottom right corner constantly and occasionally straight down as well.Upon contacting 8BitDo they recommend pressing R3 really hard to basically re-seat the joystick. That quick fix would work well for maybe 30 minutes before I'd encounter the issue again for a couple weeks, now it doesn't help much at all.If you plan to use this controller for games that don't utilize the right stick much you're golden. Otherwise stay away from this controller for now. Perhaps it's a bad batch.
This is quite possibly the best non-Nintendo pro controller for Switch. Pretty good quality, controls great and has most features of the Nintendo branded one. Battery life is great too, and the included dock is a nice touch. I'm docking a star for a few of reasons. First, is the controller can't turn on the Switch. Second, no HD rumble, just standard rumble. And third, the dock makes an audible high pitched whine which can get annoying if the dock stays close.
I bought this controller because I wanted a high quality controller to use with my switch while still being able to use it for PC gaming when necessary. The controller's features go above and beyond what I could ask for including the high quality hall effect joysticks, the receiver pass-through in the charging dock, the ability to wake the switch wirelessly, and remappable buttons. I was mostly impressed with the attention to detail the designers had, with the fact that the controller automatically turns on when removed from the dock and turns off when placed back on it. Couldn't be happier.
Works nicely with my gaming PC and Nintendo Switch. Works great with 3D games. I played Sekiro and enjoyed the controller.The triggers have far too much travel distance so feel a bit awkward to press down, but I'll probably get used to it. I wish the travel distance was reduced by 60% to make them more snappy.The d-pad feels too mushy and isn't suitable for playing games that heavily rely on it, such as 2D JRPGs. I feel that everyone should just copy what Microsoft did with the Xbox Series X controller since its d-pad is precise and snappy. I'll probably end up buying another cheaper controller dedicated for 2D games.
This is hands-down one of the best controllers I have ever used. It is so well-designed and ergonomic that it melts into your hands and you forget you are holding it. The rumble is very powerful. The joysticks are similar to the Xbox Series X/S controllers, although slightly less firm in my opinion, which I prefer. I have included a picture of an Xbox Series X/S controller for size-comparison purposes. The build quality is excellent. Also included is a nifty charging dock, which is well-designed and aesthetically pleasing. Overall, very pleased with this product and would highly recommend it.
It kinda makes you scratch your head because this controller feels much more premium than what they're charging for. I love the textured feel it has but it doesn't "feel" textured. It grips really well. Couple things to get used to is that it isn't as wide as other controllers so it feels a little weird at first. If you've got really big hands you may come across a little bit more fatigue than say an xbox or actual nintendo controller. However, you get used to it super quick and it feels amazing. Triggers are wonderful. It is super nice in every respect and plus... you get a charging dock and it is super convenient to use. You'll regret not buying it.
High quality controller with halls effects sticks. Drift shouldn’t be an issue. Overall controller feels good in the hand and is similar in shape to a standard switch pro controller. Decent vibration and gyro seems fine. Main controller I use with my switch now, for nearly everything except when playing undocked or Switch Sports.Comes with a charging dock and 2.5ghz dongle that is easily stored in said dock. Great value, quality and brand through and through.
