Technical and durable trekking tights in a highly functional stretch fabric. They combine the freedom of movement of tights with the durability of a pair of trekking trousers; reinforcements over the rear and knees can handle close contact with sharp stones and rocks and also resist moisture if you sit or kneel on damp ground. Perfect for all kinds of trekking in the mountains and other rough terrain. Practical leg pockets offer practical storage; a large one on the right-hand leg has room for a map and a smaller zippered one on the left-hand leg fits a compass. The waist is wide for better comfort and can be adjusted with a drawcord on the inside. There is also a zippered security pocket and a little loop on the left hip to attach gear or a light jacket to. The excellent fit and four-way stretch fabric gives a garment that has maximum freedom of movement, that can easily tag along on a shorter or longer climb and that will sit comfortably under a pair of shell trousers if it starts raining. Features Technical and hardwearing trekking tights. Made from a dense, high-performance stretch fabric that is durable and wicks away moisture. Reinforcements at knees and rear for extra protection in rough terrain and when sitting down on damp ground. Comfortable, wide waistband that can be adjusted with a drawcord on the inside. Map pocket on right leg and a smaller zippered pocket on left leg.

Best hiking pants

I love these pants for hiking. What makes them so comfortable is that they are a high rise waist and there’s no button or belt loops digging in under my backpack waist belt. They move with me, the side pockets are large enough to hold my phone and they look good!! They are very durable and seem to last forever.

Best scrambling and rappelling pants ever!

These pants are the perfect hiking, scrambling, and rappelling! My jeans are size 30 and the mediums fit perfectly. If you have a big booty size up you can tie the waist. The reinforced butt feels funny at first but you get used to it quickly.

Best tights I have ever owned

I purchased these tights for a 12 hour adventure race in the Blue Ridge mountains. These tights went above and beyond my expectations. They survived a day of pouring down rain, mud and bushwhacking through the spring North Georgia woods and survived without a single snag or hole. I washed them and they look brand new. I also wore them to ride a mountain bike during the race in the rain and mud and they didn't chafe and they didn't fall down. I wore them without bike shorts.

Durable with clever features but a tricky fit
24 February 2024

I'm 5'5", 130lbs with a long torso, short legs and average waist/hip/thigh measurements. Ordered the Abisko HD Trekking Tights in size small based on the Fjällräven size guide...they were so tight I couldn't get them past my knees! I exchanged them for size Medium which fit much better. However, I find the proportions are a bit 'off'. In order to keep the reticulated patches over the knees, there is so much extra fabric in the shins yet short in the thighs so I'm often pulling them up at the waist (honestly, they're made for tall, thin and leggy Swedes). That said, the fabric feels really comfortable and rugged where it should be and the pants are loaded with features. I love that I don't have to worry about rock scrambles or being rough with them. And no PFAS!

Keep Improving
4 September 2024

Just wore these leggings for 6 days in the Winds and multiple day hikes before the trip. I love the reinforcements over the knees and seat. Saved my knees from abrasions on a couple falls so far. Love the high waste as well but the drawstring does nothing. After a couple days in the backcountry I had to keep pulling them up and I bought the small. I am 5’5 and 130-135 lbs. The envelope closure for the right thigh pocket is another area that needs improving. Always took me two hands to get my phone in and out of the pocket. I really wish they would change this pocket for easier access. A tad too long, some extra fabric at my ankles. I originally bought them in a medium and had to return for the small. Maybe I need to try an extra small before buying my next pair. ... MoreJust wore these leggings for 6 days in the Winds and multiple day hikes before the trip. Mostly excellent

I already owned a pair of these in grey, and the thicker areas are a more flexible material. I don’t know if they changed the material across all colors. One of the things I most like about these is how you are wearing something super comfortable and flexible, but that if you need to sit or kneel down to start a fire, you’re not going to get a soaked knee. I would buy again, but they are very durable; so hope to have for many years of use.

Not a flattering fit
15 May 2024

Definitely made for tall and lanky swedes, these trekking tights have an odd fit for my 5'5" 130lb build. I couldn't even pull up the size SM past my knees. The size MD fits but I'm often pulling them up despite being 'high waisted'. The reticulated knees sit too low on the leg, and there's lots of extra fabric at the bottom. That said, I've hiked in them plenty and they've worn well. Taken a beating and still looking good!

Not worth the price! Not built for women with hips. Worst camel toe ever.
14 June 2023

I read many negative online reviews about these tights and really wanted them to be wrong. Nope. These are awful. They are not very stretchy, so, if you have any hips, good luck getting these on. The waist was the perfect size for me, but I almost ripped open the seams trying to get them on. Also -- the most important thing for me that I had also read in prior reviews -- these will give you the worst camel toe. I read multiple online descriptions of these tights and most said "gusseted crotch". They lie. These tights are absolutely not worth the hefty price tag.

Stylish trekking tight
22 January 2024

It looks nice but a what my size didn’t fit. A bit small. The reviews I looked at said they are too big so I didn’t move up to medium. I usually choose one size larger on tights or leggings. So this time didn’t work! I should have chosen medium. . Needed to return.

Well made but not for me
29 April 2024

I bought these because they were highly recommended for comfort and durability. However, no one mentioned that the seams are extremely thick and itchy. The padding around the butt is also weirdly distracting when you walk around in the tights; you can feel it shift around because it’s so much thicker than the other material. As someone who is sensory-sensitive, these were impossible to wear. Had to return them because they were so itchy, uncomfortable, and distracting. They do seem durable, but if you have issues with scratchy seams, these probably aren’t for you. They’re cute though.
