The automatic anti reverse does not work. The bail goes both directions causing the line to unravel and get tangled up.

Found out after opening the package that there is no switch to remove the anti-reverse. Can't imagine a spinning reel without one. The wife will use it, not me.

The first one I bought the bail broke. The second on I bought the Handel fell off. This is the reel is junk. I’ll be returning it AGAIN
I am a new angler, freshwater. For price this is a reel well worth it. Capacity is great. Features for price is great. Only negative remark is that it is a bit on the heavy side as well as casting distance is a bit weak.
Just uses ice fishing this weekend. I was impressed with how well they performed, I say they because I bought 4 of them. Highly recommend.
I bought it for my Great Grandson we bought a combo and the reel was never tightened properly so after his second cast the new reel came off and fell in the pond so I had to buy a replacement reel and this one is tight........
Bought this reel yesterday and it doesn't work properly. Jambs up and bail won't trip line
This product is misleading. This is not a Max Ice. Why is Cabela's misleading us to think this is the real Max Ice. The real white and old black color Max ice is a way better reel.
I bought this reel a few month ago, along with a Shimano reel. I have to say I prefer this reel over the Shimano (even though the Shimano cost double of this reel). Perhaps I am bias since my first reels were all Abu Garcia .
