I normally use Shimano Stradic products. I saw the sale and decided to give this reel a try. Great "out of the box". Reel feels good in the hand, is sturdy with good craftsmanship and appears to be very good quality. My first Abu Garcia. I used 6lb mono, 3' Rapala count down. Great casting, very smooth retrieve. Effortlessly landed a 3.5lb bass first time out with it.

I had fished an elite max for a few years and finally pulled the trigger on a higher end model and it didn’t disappoint. It handles the rive smallmouth great and the drag system is amazing.

Very smooth, drag is great. I have several Revo X reels, I’m glad I made the jump to the SX. Definitely my favorite reel.
Just bought, used a few times & no issues. Like the handle knob, very comfortable & slip resistant. Got the “20” model- put on a 6’ med.lite St. Croix rod. Nice!
Great reel--very light, long casting, smooth retrieve, no snarls so far with 10# test braid
Fished walleye 6 lb test 7 ft med fast rod. Caught 10 to partners 2. Was smooth and sensitive right to the handle grip. Not bad for the first time using it. I would compare this with diawa fuegos with a tad bit more quality. Not sure about it’s durability that’s why 4 stars. Otherwise my 20 worked as a good reel should .smooth drag casts well. Get em on sale as I think regular price is a little high. I recommend them and will be purchasing another.
I purchased this and the Abu Garcia Revo3 Rocket Spinning Reel the rocket for a faster pick up and this one cause of the gear ratio, this reel is so smooth, the drag is amazing and the casting performance is top notch. I have had no issues with it and I have to say being a Pflueger guy for so many years Abu is going to start replacing them. The only thing I can find is that the reel handle has a little gap of where it goes into the reel and worried about dirt and dust and water heading into it so I will keep an eye out and report back. The quality of this reel I have to say is even better than any Pflueger I have used (and still use) will be a toss up on what I will like best. You'll be happy with this reel!
Excellent spinning reel great quality, very smooth when you are casting and reeling your bait back in, great drag system when you are fighting that big fish.
Got mine on sale. But would of definitely payed full price. Great reel for somebody who can't afford the higher end reels! Best reel in its price range hands down!
