Fished one time with it. Caught a few smallies on the snake river. Seems to be a good real. I have the older revo (2007) Have never had problems with it. I can't imagine having trouble with this new revo either.I bought my first red Abu 5000 back in 1972 That thing was great. Then I bought 2 abu 3000s and then this one

I got this reel for the summer this year. I was very excited although I had never heard of it. I have been using it for about three weeks now. It has some of the smoothest casting abilities I have used. And I have used it with braid. All in all it is a great caster for beginner and experienced anglers.

It has some of the smoothest casting abilities I have used. And I have used it with braid. All in all it is a great caster for beginner and experienced anglers.
Only had it on the water one time. So far it is great! After getting it dialed in for me I was able to get about 10 yards further on my normal cast using the same strength and casting technique.
Havent spooled thia reel up yet. Looks a feels very nice. Ive been using the original revo x for almost 4 years now so i hope this one gives no issues likw the old one.
Works well. New to bait casting but by keeping a bit extra tension I can stay backlash free while increasing skill. Tight real with smooth drag And fast retrieve. Decent value. Just be sure if your going to hit a branch early or throw into stuff wind your ready on the thumb. Lots of good YouTube videos on how to master these reels.
Performs as well as higher priced reels. I got it on sale and it is similar to different versions that cost twice as much. Casts well and just your basic bait caster. I have not had a large bass on the line but drag feels like quility.
Awesome reel! Tool it out and was very impressed with how well it casts. Super smooth. Used it side by side with my revo 4x (which i love) and the revo 5 cast better. I just hope frame holda up, since its not metal any more.
Now one of my favorites reels, highly recommend this reel. It has enough drag power to where you can just turn fish with zero problems. Definitely will be grabbing another one soon
It’s hard to be the Revo series reels. This entry level Revo performs exactly the way Revo’s are expected to. Long casting, quick reeling, and smooth drag makes this real incredible. All of these features, and the performance should cost more than it does.
