I like the chain and its larger link at one end. And the 10mm chain is much lighter for traveling than the 12mm chain. My only strike against it is 2 feet is on the short side for many situations.... Show more

Robust lock and chain. Heavier than I would want to carry around, but I feel comfortable leaving it wherever I park my bike. Lock is very pick resistant... Show more

Awsome security chain.
This chain is very strong. It is 3/8 inch hardened chain and I was curious as to just how strong it is, so I conducted an experiment. I don't have a durometer, so practical testing with a new cut-off disk on my 6 inch Metabo angle grinder would be my test. I put the first link of the chain in a bench vise and started cutting applying even force until it cut through one side of the link. I had to use 2 disks because the first disk was worn below the body of the tool before it was through. I then took the only other chain I had, which is not security chain, but a worth comparator (1/2 inch heavy lift chain). I was shocked at how easily this chain was to cut. There was hardly any wear on the new cut-off disk. It was less than 15 seconds to cut through a larger diameter ... MoreThis chain is very strong. Next time I need security chain I'll but the same chain. Just an FYI / PSA you can use heavy lift chain to secure something but it won't work as well. NEVER use hardened security chain to lift. The metal is hardened and won't have stretch and could snap causing your load to fall with serious injury or death as a result.... Show more

Heavyweight Contender
Very chunky, each link is 3" /16 80mm long much larger than you would expect from the picture. If you're taking it with you I recommend for a 500/600cc bike simply due to its weight. So glad I didn't pick the 14mm Pewag. Good quality and the best one available at this price range.... Show more

Intimidating and secure
After reading many reviews, I bought this lock for it's versatility and security. I live in a large metropolitan area and wanted to be able to both secure my bike when parked at the house and when I am out and about. This serves both functions. I am using the lock and noose-chain in conjunction with a longer chain that is secured around a brick footing and a locking cover. When I go out, I leave the longer chain and cover and just use the noose and disk lock. I don't believe any security is 100%, but as they say you don't have to be faster than the bear, just faster than the guy next to you.... Show more

Nice but has one flaw
Great theft deterrent, but for my motorcycle, it was loose on disc and left me with feeling it would scratch and maybe lead to warping of disc if someone (ignorant thief) tried yanking on it. Don't get me wrong solid construction but because of disc lock mechanism not having no protective coating left me skeptical of design. fortunately for me Revzilla exchange for another Abus product, their Abus Citychain 1010 Chain lock. Will give rating once I've tested product.... Show more

Sturdy as Granite!
Bought this lock to keep my Honda Grom secure when I go to big cities. Looks awesome, works great, tough as nails and super secure. Wouldn't recommend anything else to keep your ride safe and secure. I also sometimes wear it over one shoulder and feel like I'm in the video game Road Rash......and totally badass of course! If you ever need replacement parts, check out a company called Lockitt.......I lost the small portion that the lock itself secures to(fell down into the sewer in NYC when I unlocked it the first time) and I was sure I now had a $180 paperweight.....but they hooked me up with a replacement and I'm back in business!... Super Strong
Super thick chain seems very heavy duty. The Locking mechanism also fits through my front disc brake of my Bonneville T100 and has given me no issues. Excellent overall security system. Very happy.... Show more

very nice
Due to pass through design the chain has more usable length. Makes for a good extension. Unfortunately it does NOT fit the rear Tenere 700 brake disk....... Show more

Very strong and bomb proof,
Very strong and bomb proof, a little heavy however it is possible to pop in my backpack. I like the design making full use of the length as you would not want it longer due to the weight!\nGreat having the calliper lock as you get double the security in one set! Overall I am happy tq... Show more
