Abus Bordo Lite 6055 60cm Lock Black

A light lock that offers low security for it's price. The bars aren't solid metal, there is only a 5mm thick wire running inside that can be cut with a hacksaw with relative ease. If weight and style are above everything else, it might suit you well, but in any other case, it's a rather expensive secondary lock.

Does what it is meant to

First and most importantly this is not an "urban" security level lock and if that is what you are looking for go for something with a much higher securty score from Abus. I do love Abus locks and have an urban U-lock as well for that purpose.The is a great lock for a back-up on a solo ride where you may need to run in somewhere (like a quick bathroom break or to buy snacks) ideally only in a low risk area. Great to bring when you aren't planning on locking up anywhere so don't want to bring your heavy weight lock. The strap/frame mount works great and holds welll just using the included strap.The only knock I have is that it rattles a bunch if you want to carry it without the included carrier/mount. Excellent compact lock

This is a good, strong bicycle lock which will deter all but the most ardent thieves. I also have another, larger version which comes with a mounting bracket which fits bottle cage mounts. I bought a spare bracket from another supplier and fitted the 6055 to my frame which is a neat way to carry it. I wish this one also came with a bracket for convenience, hence 4 stars. Recommended.

Excellent lock

A good strong lock without the weight and bulk. Fits easily into bike bags. Easy to use with plenty of locking options even without easily accessible objects to lock it to (wheel to frame, pedal to frame etc). Robust, quick to access, simple key system (& spare key). Can't accidentally lock it either as it won't lock without the key.

Expensive but good ABUS quality lock

Having used several ABUS X-Plus locks, the Bordo lite is a bit of a downgrade on my part as the Xplus variants for Bicycles are not available in India. Bought the lock mostly to precisely match my Hero Lectro F6i Black Red theme. High quality minimal protection at a high price. One wouldn’t regret it if one has the budget. This lock alone doesn’t give me peace of mind. I have an additional heavy hardened steel chain lock with Alarm padlock,GPS & Airtag to further intensify theft protection for not so expensive E-Bike. Unfortunately, I paid full Retail price and would have been happier if i had paid less like i did for all my other expensive ABUS X-Plus locks.

Lightweight and nice mount on water bottle cage

The lock is lightweight and nicely mounts on water bottle cage. Seems sturdy. I found the Velcro strap a bit tough to use to install anywhere else however.

Nice and light lock!

I went back and forth between getting a heavier more secure lock and this one but figured I'd be more likely to carry this one on the bike versus a chain. This lock is great for quick stops and includes an easy to use carrier that straps onto the bike or can be installed in a water bottle mount. I use this lock on my gravel bike and have a heavier chain lock for my mtn bike that blocks access to the less secure lock.The 85CM size works the best for me in installing around a secure bar and then the triangle and rear tire. I wouldn't get a smaller one.

Nice lock!

The lock feels very sturdy. It was very easy to install and I love the compact design, which makes it easy to carry around with me. I find the lock to be a great value for the price and I hope it will withstand the test of time.

Small, light ... hopefully strong

I give this top rating because it's so light and still big enough to fit round some lamp-posts. I wouldn't use this lock for an expensive new bike that's attractive to thieves but for me and my old tourer it is ideal. I use locking wheel spindles so don't need it to go round both the wheels.The holder is neat but I'm a bit dubious about the fixing strap that goes round the frame, as it relies on velcro and I suspect it would eventually loosen. I preferred to use the alternative bottle cage fixing points.

Solid light weight lock

Well made lock and considerably light than a U- lock. Not as strong as a U-lock but much better than a cable lock. Usual good service by Tredz.
