Excellent product, Cooling fans are low power devices which most manufactures sell 120 v devices. Typically limited to 120v connection option. The AC infinity system provides complete safe wiring package starting with power supply to drop to low voltage and includes speed control. Great to see manufacture provide complete package . Highly recommend

This is a great fan for cooling your receiver. That's how I'm using it. I ordered it after toasting a receiver in a cabinet that I thought would have enough convective heat transfer. The USB power source is great because it turns on when the receiver comes on. I just set it on top of the receiver and let it pull the hot air out. This creates more than enough flow from the bottom to the top if you have a 'normal' receiver wattage. The great thing is that I didn't even have to mount it by its screw holes. Beware that it is a little noisy if your room is quiet. If we are watching a movie though, you won't be bothered. If you are one of the few remaining people who actually sit and listen to music and you have this close to your sound system, you will not like it. I ordered several of these for my Salamander Designs Elba 237 A/V Cabinet and my Salamander Designs Elba 221 A/V Cabinet. They fit perfectly in the bottom of the A/V Cabinets once I removed the existing plastic louvers that were provided with the cabinets. (Just to insure that they would not slip through the opening, I installed two metal plates at each end of the opening and used Silicon Cement to create a gasket and hold them in place.) They have a USB plug that is standard as well as an AC adapter that you can plug into any AC outlet. Once setup and plugged in you can chose settings of "H" for high speed or "M" for medium speed or "L" for low speed and "O" for off. They are not very powerful at all on high speed produced a very noisy "hum" that reverberates ... MoreI ordered several of these for my Salamander Designs Elba 237 A/V Cabinet and my Salamander Designs Elba 221 A/V Cabinet. However at only $29.99 each they are far more affordable than those sold by Salamander Designs that come built into the unit. The Airplate S5 is $29.99 and has specs of | Total Airflow: 52 CFM | Total Noise: 18 dBA | Bearings: Dual Ball. The Salamander SA/BVAC Bottom Vent with Active Cooling unit is $249.00 and has specs of Air flow: 33 CFM - Noise Level: 22dBA. So I chose the Airplate S5 as it is an add-on and not built in, but is one tenth the price and has a better specifications. I can live with the noise for that kind of a savings in total cost!

I purchased the double 80, and was so happy with it I bought a single 80 to cool another unit. I was able to vent my A/V receiver and cable box with the double. Both are very confined in the media cabinet and need air movement. The PS3 probably generates more heat than the other 2 together, but because of its smaller size has some breathing room around it in its compartment. I was so happy with the double I figured why not? The cooler the better, so the PS3 benefited. Are they absolutely silent? No, I don't think that's possible, but they're not loud enough to hear unless I turn the sound completely off, and even then the noise is very slight. My previous fan had to have sound at a specific minimum level to cover the fan noise! These come in a nice kit. My previous fan had to have sound at a specific minimum level to cover the fan noise! These come in a nice kit. Fan, template, mounting bolts, and ac adapter if you don't have a usb port on your equipment. Personally, I removed the front and rear fan guards because in my mind, they only offer resistance to the fan, which causes more noise. Also, they just give dust 2 more areas to accumulate, right? These turn on/off with the equipment when plugged into the equipment, move enough air to adequately cool the components, and are as quiet as I've been able to get.Very happy with the price and quality of this product!
I was looking for a fan system that would help to remove heat buildup within an audio cabinet, yet was very quiet. I was concerned m my power amplifier would degrade prematurely with excessive heat buildup. After weeks of periodic searching, I am across AC Infinity products. I discussed my situation on their chat line with Vanessa D. she was very professional and friendly. She directed me to the Airplate line of products. They were exactly what I needed.I mounted the two fan unit to the rear panel. The unit performed exactly as advertised and expected. I would suggests these cooling fans to any one in the same situation.
The fan was perfect for my application. The attention to detail in the packaging was what moved this product to world class. From the The plastic installation template to the screws that were in separate baggies it was a pleasure to in box and then install the fans. If you are installing this fan in a cabinet with a PS5 know that the USBs are by default powered for 3 hours after you sleep the rig, making it perfect to power cooling fans!
I bought this fan for my audio rack. Our amp was getting hot and making clicking noises. I temporarily installed a small desk fan to cool the cabinet, but it was ugly and noisy. I did a quick search on eBay and found this fan. The price sounded right, so we gave it a shot. I love this thing. It's extremely quiet. You simply can't hear it. The switch has four positions, high, medium, low, and off. It comes with all the mounting hardware you need to mount it in your rack, but I simply have it resting on my amp blowing down on it to keep it cool. No more clicks. The fan assembly is a quality build. The finish is nice with no sharp edges. It just blends in nicely in the rack and is undetectable.
Purchased the dual 80 model for a small cabinet where my 1050w AVR is positioned. The cabinet and AVR used to get hot at mid-high volume and I had to keep the glass door half open even though I had multiple holes drilled in the back/top (cabinet is 24x10x19 inches) siting on the floor. I was thinking of getting the 120 model given the heat generated from the AVR but then decided to go with the 80 model given the relative size of then to the cabinet height (about 10' or 25cm).The fan was shipped and received fast and the grill/cover looks great, like mentioned in many reviews, I also think the grill is safer than the other models because there no chance for even thin wires inside the cabinet to jam the fan, the nice appearance made me feel good about my purchase but ... MorePurchased the dual 80 model for a small cabinet where my 1050w AVR is positioned. The fan also sounded very quite when I tested it before installation. The USB wire is long and the charger is small and nice looking (2x1.5x0.5 inches)After installing the fan, I was pleasantly surprised how it kept the cabinet cool even when I cranked the volume at high and the door was closed. The cabinet was cooler then it is when the AVR is in standby and the fan is off. I connected the fan to the USB socket available on the AVR (the AVR USB is 5v, 1amp max., the fan is 5v, 1.1w so it should not draw more than 250mAmp on average) I bought a thermal sensor but I realized I will not need it afterwards, the fan turns on/off when the receiver turns on/off.The reason I gave it 4 stars is because first, the it did not have a template to allow me to cut the back of the cabinet accordingly, I had to take measurements and make on myselft which too some time to ensure I make a clean cut. Second, the USB wire (it has two connections as shown in photos) was getting in the way when installing ( I wanted the wire to be inside the cabinet so I can plug it in the AVR and it is designed for the wires to be in the back) i solved the issue by cutting gasket from hard foam to push the fan a little outside inside the cabinet and allow me to keep the wires inside. My cabinet was almost attached to the wall (with 1.5 inch space from the wall) and could not move it easily because there are panels on top of it where the TV is installed. Finally I was able to hear the fan when the room is quite and I think that was because the air was hitting the wall and it was amplified by the panels because you can hear it when you are beside the cabinet more then from inside the cabinet.Overall I am very happy with the purchase realizing my application would had similar challenges with any other model. The fans system does an excellent job to keep the cabinet cool with very little noise and is well designed. The only thing is it lacks a template. Would also be nice to see gaskets available for raised installation.
This thing is fantastic. Milled anodized aluminum, good weight and not flimsy. Installed it in the back of my media cabinet this morning and plugged it into a USB port on my PS4. Now when the game console comes on, so does the fan to exhaust the heat. We used to have a small clip-on fan hooked to the front of the cabinet, but that's unnecessary now. Even with being plugged into the USB port, there's plenty of power. The mounting hardware is complete, whether you mount it like I did in 1/4" paneling or in a 1" box. There's also a USB wall adapter in case you don't have an open port.Overall, a great product. Very well built and it really fills the bill if you have a media cabinet that's too warm.
This fan is awesome. I recently built an entertainment center for my big flat screen, receiver, front speakers and other electronics. Because I built the shelf for the receiver kind of small, I knew I needed air movement. I selected this fan because of the cfm size and it's slim profile. I really can't get past how much it moves and keeps that small area rather cool.I purchased it with a temp switch and the combo works really well.
