Purchased to replace vent hose on portable AC unit. Had running for 4 days and the fabric on the hose split wide open venting all the hot air into the house. Was not home when it happened so I walked into a blast furnace. Needed to repair with duct tape. Very disappointing to say the least, especially since I had been impressed by the quality at first.

I have a natural gas, hot water heating in my house as well as a natural gas Rinnai tankless water heater. Both are located in a separate room of my basement. In the past this room became very hot if I shut the door to the furnace room. I used the ducting and some PVC piping to pull or force outside air into the furnace room both for cooling and for fresh air to feed both units. I set the control to activate on a high temperature setting of 76 degrees. It has and is working perfectly. The inside diameter is the biggest problem I have encountered when trying to connect this kind of ductwork. You have to really work and stretch it out before you can make it fit the fans and filters. This duct was exactly the right size and there was no messing around with trying to make it fit. It was also nice to get a longer length I could cut for my specific needs. If I buy more in the future, this is definitely the one I am going for. AC Infinity is always the highest quality.

These flexible ducts are great. I use them to exhaust my a.c. unit and to carry air in and out of the room. They cut down on the heat transfer in the room and the noise level frombthe a.c. exhaust fan.They a very thick and durable for a flex line. Also they keep the air cooler running through my attic to the room. A huge upgrade from your standard flexible duct line.
I got a portable ac unit and needed a longer hose than the one provided. I was nervous ordering a replacement as I haven't had a portable ac previously and wasn't able to find something labeled specifically for it. This worked like a charm- I cut it in half by length and have a longer hose now with a backup but it's really well made (I feared it would tear when I was attaching it) so I likely won't need a back up.
The pipe moves and bends when the air goes through, putting pressure on the joints on the roof. Also Not really sure if its Ideal for high capacity kitchen hoodfan. (Time will tell). Not as strong as I expected as the piece is little flimsy, the black plastic outer layer peels of easily during installation process.
I ordered the kit package with the 10 exhaust fan, carbon filter, ducting and controller 67. What arrived was the fan, filter, ducting and controller 69. Controller 69 has all the same functions as controller 67 but controller 67 seems much easier to use and understand. I requested a replacement for the controller I order and they sent it out immediately. Unfortunately the fan needs an adaptor to plug into controller 67 and they didnt send that. I called to let them know and they overnighted the adaptor. Spectacular customer service for myself personally. I assume this was just a mistake due to phasing out controller 67. Hopefully things will go smoother in the future. The fan itself is great, recommend.

This ducting is very sturdy. I had to manhandle it onto a vent opening (absolutely zero tolerance between the two) and was worried that the aluminum inside the ducting would tear. When I removed it to replace one of the duct clamps, I inspected the inside and found no damage. Good solid product. Deducted a star for one of the included clamps being broken with a stripped screw. The ducting itself is good.
I am using this duct (along with some duct tape) to temporarily extend the vent hose on a portable air conditioner. It has worked very well for that purpose. It is very flexible and doesn't weigh a lot. The exterior coating, which makes it more durable than a simple foil-type duct, was an important consideration for me. The other options I considered were both heavier and more robust but the cost penalty was more than I could accept - 3 times as much or more. For me, this was a very cost-effective solution. Given that the Buy-it-Now price includes shipping, you almost can't go wrong with this item. I have the duct extended to about 21 feet. That is about the limit unless it is under some tension and secured at both ends.
