If you have been looking for fans that really move some air, buy the ones in the Cooler Master SF-19, or fuhgettaboutit.Up to four or five years ago, fans DID move air. Then people started whining and complaining about the noise. Sure enough. All you have to do is read fan reviews. QUIET or QUITE [sic] gets FIVE stars, but everyone wants these quiet fans to blow more air. It ain't gonna happen. There is a balance thing going on with fans, if you haven't figured it out yet...you can't have it both ways. I would rather have SOME noise with a windstorm, than sitting there, quietly, watching my CPU in melt-down. I don't want so much quiet, as I am not trying to sleep...I have work to do and I want fans that will help keep my gear cool while I do it.These fans are OK, ... MoreIf you have been looking for fans that really move some air, buy the ones in the Cooler Master SF-19, or fuhgettaboutit.Up to four or five years ago, fans DID move air. I don't want so much quiet, as I am not trying to sleep...I have work to do and I want fans that will help keep my gear cool while I do it.These fans are OK, but as many have noticed, they don't move much air. The specs say they rotate at 3000rpm. Where? On the moon? They DO NOT spin at that rate. However, they are definitely better than the lame fans that came with my CoolerMaster NotePal U3. ANYTHING is better than those fans. I really like the design of the NotePal, especially for heavier laptops. This is the third set of fans I have purchased since I bought the cooler, a year or so ago. I Figure that if I had purchased the SF-19 cooler at a whopping $90, instead of the $30 U3, I would have saved time and money. CoolerMaster will send or sell you the EXACT SAME FANS if you tell them the fans don't spin fast enough to cool anything. They have seen the reviews...they know the U-series is a dog, but people are still buying them. Now they have the 'U3 Plus', for more money, and another color (silver). BUT (here's the good part) guess which fans are in them?I wanted to buy the SF-19 fans, for fair market value, and they won't sell them to anyone. I don't have the time to go to fan school, to learn how to build a good fan, either. I should have bought the AC Infinity 80x80 fans, 3 of them. They allegedly spin faster and their decibel rating is higher (OMG! All that NOISE!!)For the time being, I'll use my old laptop with my 7 yo Rosewill cooler with 2 80x80 fans that spin at 3800rpm and cost under $10. The vague 'white noise' helps me to concentrate.BTW, for those with a U2 or U3, or any cooler with a 'perforated' metal surface, the fans DO look nice, and, without the grill on the blowing side, the fan screw holes line up nicely with the cooler surface holes. You might do well to order 2 or 3 80x80 fans by AC Infinity, offered here at Amazon, instead of these 120x120 fans.

I recently noticed that temperatures were running a bit high on my AVR so I decided to look for some cooling solutions. I decided to try out the multifan and boy am I happy that I did. Temperatures are way down and I am a happy camper. Highly recommended.

Purchased two of these for the top of a Denon receiver. Plugged them into the front USB port. Rather than manually turn them on and off, I disabled the Network Standby option in the receivers' settings, so they turn on when the receiver is turned on and off when the receiver is shut down (shuts down the power to the USB port when the receiver is off). Super silent and do a great job ejecting hot air out the back. Highly recommended.

Like these things....got one set cooling two of my Beelinks' to keep them extra cool and stable, the other pair I use to cool and cycle air on my Denon AVR-E300. I invert one to blow air into the unit and the other to draw....keeps the unit cool and nearly dustless....
I have a small laptop desk that I put my Alienware Area 51m laptop on and recline on my sofa. The desks has air holes under it to allow the Laptop fans to pull air through it however I wanted a little extra Cooling and didn't want to have to use a separate laptop cooler. So I got the idea to mount some fans to the bottom. I needed something that was USB connectable. I found these fans on Amazon and they looked like they would work perfectly. After a tiny bit of customization I'm very happy with the results.
Protect your investment!Heat build up in cabinets will prematurely kill your a/v equipment. These fans are the most cost effective way to keep your expensive components from over heating by not only keeping them cool but less dust build up in the cabinet as well!!I was considering cutting the back of my media cabinet to install a fan to keep my a/v components cool. Glad I found the AC Infinity Multifan S7 Dual Fan instead. These sit on top of my receiver exhausting the hot air out. They can be flipped over to reverse the air flow as well. Great price as well!!
I purchased these to help keep my vacuum tube amplifier cool. Unfortunately, due to limited space, it needs to reside in a cabinet so ambient cooling is not the best. These units placed on top of the protective cage are pulling enough air through to maintain it at lower temp and provide longer life to the amp and vacuum tubes. I keep them on max and unless it is 100% quiet with the windows/door closed and the ceiling fan off I cannot hear them at all. I will be getting additional fans for other components in my system.
I've ordered two sets of the Multifan S7 and can tell you this... They work! I am using one set on a Denon AVR and the other on a Onkyo AVR; top-mount, one fan blowing in, one fan pulling air out.I've got both sets set on "H" or the high setting and cannot hear them running. The set on my Onkyo AVR is less than two-feet from my sitting position, as I use it for my PC sound-system and I tell you, it's silent. My PC fans can be heard over the S7 setup.I highly recommend this gear to cool any AV/Audio equipment you have, especially in an enclosed environment. Heat and dust alike are killers of AV and Audio equipment and the S7 (and other offerings from AC Infinity) will surely ensure expanded lifespan of your equipment will keeping the innards dust-free.Cheers!
The first set of two fans were a breeze to connect to USB power from my PC. The second pair connected to the first even easier. The cables are long enough and the fans are designed for a variety of placement options. I used one suggested by a friend that I was not even considering. They are very quiet and even in low keep my audio gear that has gigantic heat sinks that get quite toasty nice and cool, and that's on medium speed setting. Exceeded my expectations. Shipping was quick satisfying my need for immediate gratification (or nearly) :)
I use this on a Pioneer top venting receiver that would get extremely hot to the touch. I was worried about it overheating. I must admit I was skeptical about how well this would work, but it is amazing. Even on med speed, this keeps the receiver nice and cool now. Having the usb connect to the receiver also means the fan powers on/off with the receiver...so it's convenient and quiet. So far, a real winner and seems to be built to last.
