Seemed like a decent deal for the sale price and probably is for most folks. However it remembers all picture settings except the mode (standard, gaming, movie, etc.) It showed the last mode picked but when you select the option and reselected 'standard' for example it would get almost twice as bright (how I configured it). But it never remembers that setting after power cycling so you have to rehold the +/- wheel button to refresh it everytime. Not acceptable for anything other than free imo.

I purchased two of these so that I could telework. The monitor serve their function, but leave a lot to be desired. The picture is good, but the color is off. Even if the color was different than my laptop monitor, you would expect the two units to have similar coloring which they do not. Trying to navigate the menus and set the color settings the same is more difficult than expected. Anyone that needs colors to be recognizable simply needs to buy a different product. The magnetic case/stand consumes more desk space than needed to support the monitors.

Overall I like this monitor. I purchased it as a secondary monitor when I travel and it hasn't disappointed. I am not playing games, but rather watching movies and doing spreadsheets / web surfing. The speaker is not very loud, but it nice that it has one. I have not noticed any lag. The only thing that took me a few minutes to figure out is the cover. I understand why they did it this way, but it will take some getting used to. I would purchase again!
I finally gave in and bought this as an extended display, and man am I so glad I did. It has significantly improved my workflow. Only downsides are that if my Macbook Pro isn't plugged into a power source, the Acer monitor dims to about half brightness. Changing the brightness on the monitor doesn't do anything to fix it (although the brightness settings do work when my Macbook is plugged in). It's not a huge deal, since I usually have my Macbook plugged in anyway, but it is slightly annoying. I imagine if you're the type of person who wants to be able to take this thing on the go and you don't have access to an outlet for your computer, it could be a problem. It also takes quite a while to connect to the Macbook - it makes my laptop screen go dark for about 10 ... MoreI finally gave in and bought this as an extended display, and man am I so glad I did. All in all, when it's plugged in and going, it works great. Solid monitor for the price.
The monitor is really user-friendly: lightweight, thin, and easily fits into a laptop bag. The image quality is top-notch with Full HD resolution and vibrant colors. However, it remains unclear to me how to connect it without a computer. If the monitor can only be used with a computer, this somewhat limits its functionality. But overall, it is a very practical thing that will be useful in many situations.Additionally, the price is quite reasonable for the features it offers.
I recently got the PM1 series monitor, and it’s perfect for my small office and lightweight needs. It fits easily into my bag and is easy to carry anywhere. It’s ideal for my compact workspace, taking up minimal desk space, and is excellent as a secondary monitor during presentations. The vibrant images are fantastic, the instructions are easy to follow, and the single-cable simplicity makes it incredibly convenient to use. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a portable and versatile monitor!
I received this portal monitor after wanting one for some time and this one is really great. It mirrors my screen or I can use it as an extension of my screen. I have used it with my laptop, phone, and even iPad but I needed to purchase extra cords and connections for it that I could only buy online. The monitor is super lightweight perfect for my work bag and traveling and I like the built in stand that keeps it upright. The display is really clear and bright I would recommend but you might need to purchase additional connection cables than what it comes with.
Acer 15.6" Portable Monitor is lightweight and comes with a mini HDMI to HDMI cable and a USB-C to USB-C cable. It is simple to connect to your laptop. A USB-C cable is needed to power up the monitor so you cannot use it without one. The HDMI cable allows you to play videos etc but will not power up the monitor.I was hoping to find a way to use this with my phone but no luck so far.It is slim so it easily fits into a backpack with your laptop. This would definitely come in handy to keep 2 kids occupied!
This monitor hurt my eyes to look at. If your not as sensitive to flicker, then this is a decent monitor for the price. Lots if IO options. Also, the screen is a matte display. With regard to the eye strain and possible causes: peripheral vision is so much faster than focal vision so, while you won't actively notice the flicker in your focal vision, your brain will perceive it and produce a nice headache. If you would like to see the flicker very clearly, take a video using your phones SLO-MO or equivalent high speed video and you'll really see it.
