It is NOT Essenza. It looks similar but it is not. Essenza was pungent and strong sometimes I felt way too strong, almost choking. I loved Essenza but it was too strong, at least the first batch. This EDP is gentle, it is not strong, in no way comparable to Essenza if that is what you expect. I doubt you will find any modern day colognes as strong as Essenza, this EDP is as strong as other modern EDPs I have used. It does have a very similar smell to Essenza minus the pungent. It announces it self gently and stays on gentle for quite a while. The modern day colognes you are lucky if you get 12hrs on them unlike the colognes from the 80s which could go on for days. I get headaches from certain scents pretty easily, but this is one that didn't bother me in the slightest. The scent lasted strong for hours and was even still somewhat there after a 9 hour workday. I think that once I use the rest of this up, I would buy it again just to have on my shelf. I was comparing it to my favorite colognes and it fits right in with what I would normally use.
