Discover Acqua di Gio Profondo, the masculine fragrance from Giorgio Armani. The contemporary and intense interpretation of Acqua di Gio blends marine notes with a fusion of aromatic essences and a woody marine accord that goes back to the range's origins: the sea. The refined navy blue color of the bottle pays tribute to Mr. Armani's most iconic color. Acqua di Gio Profondo is the intense marine interpretation of Acqua di Gio. More than a fragrance, Aqua di Gio Profondo is a captivating deep-dive into the profoundness of the soul, embracing the values of freedom, sensoriality and modern masculinity, revealing an ever more profound dimension. Like taking a plunge into the deep blue sea, senses are awakened by essences of green mandarin and bergamot while an ultramarine, nearly icy hue is conveyed by Acqua di Gio's iconic marine notes. As the effervescent bubbles of oxygen rise to the top, the aromatic rosemary, lavender, cypress and lentisk absolute blend at its heart. Exuding a masculine character of depth and intensity, base notes of woody patchouli and enveloping musk finally fuse with the saline accent of a mineral ambery accord. Created by master perfumer Alberto Morillas, Acqua di Gio Profondo fragrance for men is encapsulated in the emblematic frosted glass bottle, unveiled in an elegant, almost opaque deep navy blue, echoing the depths of the sea it captures. A fougere aromatic aquatic scent with notes of fresh green mandarine and marine notes, spicy nuances of aromatic essences, a woody mineral dry-down that gets softened with patchouli & musk. An invitation to discover your true self - like a deep-dive into the profoundness of your soul. Acqua di Gio Profondo is a contemporary, refined & deeply masculine scent. Notes: Top Notes: Green mandarin, Bergamot, Marine notes Heart Notes: Rosemary, Lavender, Cypress, Lentisque Base Notes: Patchouli, Musk, Mineral amber

Beautiful fragrance, really a treat for someone like me who grew up enjoying the original. I’ve always had a soft spot for fresh, aquatic scents, and the AdG EDT was my signature scent for many, many years in high school and beyond. I still have a bottle, but obviously I’ve grown and tastes change, and I tend to prefer scents with a bit more depth and density these days. I tried this and profumo the same day, one on each wrist. I love them both, but this one truly surprised me, especially because so many more people recommended Profumo. The opening is heavenly. If you like the original, trust me, you will LOVE this. It’s taken that sparkly, citrusy, aquatic airiness of the original and amped it up, slightly more of a marine vibe, and it is much more grown up. It’s taken that sparkly, citrusy, aquatic airiness of the original and amped it up, slightly more of a marine vibe, and it is much more grown up. The marine notes, the citrusy florals, absolute freshness with a slight warmth to it... beautiful, truly a treat to behold. You can really tell the increased quality and are given a much richer, deeper, and denser fragrance. Surprisingly versatile too, I’m one of the few people who really enjoy wearing fresh fragrances all year round instead of wearing something sweeter and warmer in the winter. There are some that just wouldn’t hold up, but this one really does well in all weather and settings. It’s youthful and bright but also deep and sophisticated, a really nice balance in my opinion: it doesn’t smell like you’re some rich guy in a tuxedo who drives a rolls Royce, it smells more like someone who craves adventure, sensuality, and subtle luxury in equal measures. The opening is my favorite part of this fragrance, but I do greatly enjoy it through all stages. The drydown is where it differs most from Profumo, it’s more of a mineral/aquatic vibe throughout, not as warm. I’ve noticed some comparisons with polo blue and “blue” frags like BdC or sauvage, and I can see how this is a valid comparison, but I find it also does this fragrance a disservice. Yes it’s a more aquatic version of the original, but I feel it does not try to be a “blue” fragrance (like BdC, sauvage, Dylan blue, Luna Rossa carbon, etc). If you do not like fragrances like those, don’t write this one off, it’s not in the same ballpark! There is an entirely different structure to the fragrance and it blends every note together almost flawlessly: freshness, sweetness, florals, spice, it’s almost perfectly blended. Not flat and boring or overly synthetic and harsh. Much more lively, sparkling, and more tolerable in large doses than the “blue” frags. Longevity and projection are both fantastic. At least 8 hours on skin and multiple hours of solid projection depending on temperature.

Having been a fan of Armani Acqua di Gio EDT, I was eager to try a stronger version, and Acqua Di Gio Profondo EDP exceeded my expectations. While it doesn’t have the exact opening burst of the EDT, there’s something about this fragrance that captivates me even more. It dries down elegantly and feels more sophisticated compared to its predecessor. Acqua Di Gio Profondo has quickly become one of my favorites. I find myself reaching for this cologne often in office settings, but it’s equally fantastic for warmer weather and outdoor activities. The freshness of its aquatic notes blends beautifully with the warmth of the base, making it versatile for both indoor and outdoor wear. Best Armani fragrance since Mania. For me, this became my summer signature. I was in search of something different, but took a chance on a blind buy at a bargain bin retailer, of all places. It was the most expensive there by a long shot, but still more reasonable price than the big fragrance players. I got it at a steal to say the least. Haven't seen it again, but will pay full price for the next bottle. It wears well, lasts plenty long, and has a nice approach that has the ADG dna, but is different. You could get the notes from fragantica, but what pops on one person might be different on another. Absolutely worth swinging by a belk or kohls for a test spray. It maintains the classic next day ADG clothing scent, so it works great for the clothing/hoodie spray too ... MoreBest Armani fragrance since Mania. For me, this became my summer signature. This has a little more elegant touch than classic ADG, and is great for work. It is subtle enough it doesn't push away, but it still grabs enough attention to be a compliment getter for sure. It has gotten the best response for me since my Armani Mania days (would love to have that one again). I have a 1/2 bottle of VeryCool by Tommy Bahama left (cork not chrome) that I save for special occasions in the summer. It has not come out this summer. In fact, all my Tommy Bahama scents have felt very left out this season. ADG Profondo has found a way to cover the basis of liesure AND business for me. Even if I stumble accross something else that could dethrone Profondo as signature for me, it will always have a place in my collection.

A good light fragrance with a focus on a Marine smell
11 September 2024

Please keep in mind that my review is based on my preferences and fragrances are VERY subjective. This fragrance is pretty good overall, but I have mixed feelings about it, which I'll go into detail below. The smells:When you first put it on (top note), the smell is dominantly marine and reminds me of the fresh sea. I'm not a big fan of marine smells in general, but this fragrance does it well since it also has a light citrusy smell to accompany it which makes it great. Overall, a great top note and gets a 5 out of 5 for me.The middle notes kick in after the top note wears out in about 45 minutes. It has a very sweet floral note with a bit of woodyness to it. I also like this smell, but not as much as the fresh top notes. 4 out of 5.Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of what comes next. After another 30-45 mins, we hit the heart/base notes. This is what lasts the longest. I can smell some floral, leathery, and ambery note which is okay. However, there's also a strong scent of patchouli, which I hate. If you like patchouli, you might like the base note, but patchouli gives me a headache if I smell it for too long, so I cannot give this a good rating. Also reminds me of cheap Axe body spray but slightly fancier. 1.5 out of 5.Other stuff:It's a pretty light-smelling fragrance, so it is best suited to the spring, summer, and early fall seasons. It can be worn during either daytime or nighttime but would be best to wear it during the day and have something else for the nighttime activities.Pretty good longevity, it lasts me the whole day at work.Projection is average or slightly longer than average, so it's perfect for a balanced distance of smell.Overall, it's a decent fragrance with a very fresh top note, a good middle note, held back by a patchouli-heavy base note that I'm not a fan of. However, if you like patchouli, you might be a fan.

A refreshing and elegant EDP from Acqua di Gio
17 September 2024

I received this for free from BzzAgent in exchange for my honest review. Having tried Acqua di Gio Profondo EDP for several days I'm thoroughly impressed by its performance and impact. Once this mellows out for an hour or so this is a universal compliment getter. It has an overall refined elegance with a mysterious/sexy/masculine twist to it. There's a very fresh and invigorating opening, bringing on images of a chilly rocky coast with rough blue tides, but it manages to warm up over time and you get a complimentary level of woody spice. It's perfect for a date night, a suit/tuxedo event, or a night out for drinks and maybe some partying. Thanks to its unique blend of aquatic, fresh, and woody mineral notes this will work for both cold and warm seasons. If you're on the hunt for something to make you feel like Daniel Craig enjoying a glass by a massive window overlooking a huge coastal cliff, this is for you. Fully recommended and a definite repurchase.

A sweet take on a classic aquatic.

Profondo Parfum is a sweeter take on the marine and aquatic notes Acqua Di Gio is known for. It's still just as long lasting and powerful, even more so actually, but now it's got hints of cinnamon and ambery warm spices. These sweeter spice notes aren't dominating at all, in fact they blend in perfectly with the cool salty and ocean notes already present in Acqua Di Gio. It was projecting 5 feet for hours on me before becoming a more close proximity scent, which is to be expected. But the spices really give it some depth and intrigue, everytime it hit my nose I picked out a different note and felt a different sensation. It smells like a bonfire on the beach at sunset, or the rooftop of a Dubai hotel in the cool evening breeze. What this provides is a beautiful ... MoreProfondo Parfum is a sweeter take on the marine and aquatic notes Acqua Di Gio is known for. If you feel like you've smelled everything blue fragrances have to offer, you definitely want to try this. It's complex, has excellent longevity, and honestly smells very expensive. It feels more mature and elegant than the regular Acqua di Gio DNA, definitely an evolution in the right direction. Like something a powerful businessman in the UAE would wear, just gorgeous.

However, this could also be an easy daily option for a variety of occasions and would easily fit into an office safe scent.Overall I very much enjoy this iteration of Profondo from Georgio Armani! It is extremely versatile, but also very sexy and fresh. It is a do it all type of fragrance that is sure to garner attention. I would highly recommend this fragrance if you are looking for a slightly more warmer take on the freshness of the original Profondo. Simply perfection!!!

I was hooked!

Acqua di Giò Profondo truly stands out from other colognes I've tried. While many fresh, aquatic scents tend to fade quickly, this one is long-lasting, keeping its vibrant intensity throughout the day. The fragrance opens with refreshing top notes of green mandarin and bergamot, instantly reminding me of the ocean breeze as a genuine Island boy, while the heart blends aromatic rosemary, lavender, and cypress, adding a subtle warmth and masculine depth. What makes this scent unique is the woody patchouli and musk at the base, giving it an earthy, sophisticated finish that lasts. The packaging in ocean blue is sleek and modern, reflecting the refined elegance of the scent. Its long-lasting nature means you don't have to reapply throughout the day, and the balance of fresh and woody notes makes it suitable for any season.Would I buy this product again? Definitely! Its quality, durability, and rich complexity make it worth every penny. I'd recommend it without hesitation to friends and family looking for a long-lasting, elegant, and fresh fragrance that leaves a lasting impression.

Luxury Scent, Premium Packaging: An Everyday Fragrance

First off, the bottle itself feels premium. I love the deep blue gradient that transitions from dark to light—it really mirrors the theme of ocean depth, which is central to the fragrance. The magnetic lid is a standout feature. It clicks back in place perfectly every time, making the bottle feel high quality and satisfying to handle. I've had other fragrances where the cap felt flimsy or loose, but the magnetic one here adds a sense of luxury. As for the scent, it's a great balance between fresh and deep. The marine notes are really refreshing and perfect for daytime wear. It gives off this fresh, clean vibe without being too overpowering. The patchouli and musk at the base add a warm, grounding note that lingers on my skin for hours. It's subtle but long-lasting, which is important to me.Overall, Acqua Di Giò Profondo is a solid choice if you like fresh, aquatic fragrances with a bit of depth. The packaging, especially that magnetic cap, makes it feel luxurious, and it's a versatile scent that works in both casual and formal settings.

Saved my marriage

I received the AQUA DI GIÒ PROFONDO PARFUMERIE 50ml. For FREE from GIORGIO ARMANI as a sample for a honest review as a BzzAgent. This perfume is the reason I'm still married. Our cat had recently began feuding with my wife over the most comfortable chair in the house. I made the mistake of siding with the cat, there's no way he was doing it on purpose. After further research and studying the cats movements, I found him to be acting in a retaliatory fashion. After talking to both the cat and my wife we figured out a solution, we bought another comfortable chair.Afterwards my wife was still angry with me siding with the cat. I had remembered the free sample I got of AQUA DI GIÒ FROM GIORGIO ARMANI and spritzed a little bit in the air and walking through it like Lebron James doing his pre game chalk ritual. I then donned my best denim shorts and sleeveless t-shirt (show my sweet skull tattoo) and asked the Mrs if she wanted to go get a gas station hot dogs and make out by the river. She was about to say "No" till she caught a whiff of me, and she immediately latched onto me while sniffing aggressively like a drug dog searching Pablo Escobars house. This fragrance has really turned things around for me. Once I burn through my free sample that I got through being a BzzAgent I'm rushing to the mall and buying two more bottles!
