Sane Trilogy, (which I reviewed) this saw Activision finally return Crash to the limelight in an extremely well done remaster of the PlayStation Crash trilogy. Rebuilt from the ground up, the collection hit all the sweet spots for me and had me hankering for some new bandicoot exploits. Fast forward just over three years and we finally have it; the improbable true successor to the original trilogy, Crash 4! Now developers did shift from Vicarious Visions (who just worked on the awesome remaster of Tony Hawk 1 + 2) to Toys for Bob (of Skylanders fame), so I did temper my expectations a little. There’s no reason to drag you through the review to tell you, Crash 4 is everything Crash fans have been waiting for… and then some!

This game is all of my childhood thrown into a playstation 4 remake. It's nice having all the games on one disc and being able to switch between the three at will. I'm not sure the price warrants a game that already exists or could be emulated (naughty but shh) but I'm happy enough to play it on a new system. I have had a few issues with jumping and hit boxes where I didn't in the past, perhaps it's that I'm rusty but it's incredibly frustrating when I fall down the side of something I jumped onto. Sometimes the angle of the camera can be annoying but it can be dealt with. This game is more about nostalgia than gameplay. I don't desperately want more from crash bandicoot because the games that exist already have done what I want and what I enjoy. I love bamboozled!! I can this this game being bought by people who have played it before or parents buying it for their children as it's recognisable to them and gives them a bit of their childhood. It's also great for kids as it's accessible as a platformer with simple controls and great humour. There's a reason crash was the best part of Activision for years.

Childhood Memories Activated

I grew up on Crash Bandicoot with the Original Xbox growing up and could play this game for hours. Over the years I fell in love with Playstation when I received a PSP for Christmas. Moving forward to today having both the PS4 and PS5, I love that I can play this game on both consoles!!! This game is a fantastic remake of the original trilogy with smoother gameplay and better graphics.

Crash Rocks

These are my favorite games. The fourth game, this one was not a let down. It lived up to its hype. A definite must buy for any crash fan. Totally worth the money. You cannot put it down. Love this game. Happy holidays to all. I coule not wait to open it for christmas. So im playing it now.

Great remake - warts and all

This is a truly well-done remake of the first three Crash Bandicoot platform games. The updated graphics are smooth and add a level of clarity to the characters and environments that makes it feel brand new all over. Crash is a fast-paced game and this holds true in the remake.The developers did a great job faithfully remaking the original game. However, that's the biggest strength and weakness of this game. They did nothing to 'soften' the experience for today's gaming crowd. The levels can be frustratingly difficult - which worked in the 90s for replay value. From side-scrolling, racing, and being chased levels - Crash offers a lot of variety and it's still a ton of fun, even if it is a bit challenging. I would absolutely recommend this game to anyone, but be aware that the youngest gamers might find it just a bit too difficult.

You’ll also be pleased to know then that as far as the gameplay goes it’s pretty much perfect. Platforming and traversing in the game has never felt better and on the whole the gameplay is the right sort of challenging because it is both fun and challenging at the same time. There is also a huge amount of variety present in the gameplay as well and this is most evident when it comes to the level design. Each level is so intricate and cleverly designed which in turn means playing them never seems to get boring. In terms of gripes I only really have one and that isn’t a particular big gripe either. My gripe is about the vehicle levels because they aren’t as fun as the other levels due to the controls not being as responsive as they should. Like I said though this only a small gripe because I don’t actually dislike the vehicle levels. One of the most improved aspects over the original game’s is definitely the presentation side of things and without a doubt Crash Bandicoot has never looked and sounded better which means it fits in with today’s modern characters extremely well. At the end of the day Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is an absolutely glorious collection of game’s that are both perfect for veterans of the series and newcomers as well. Everything about the Trilogy screams perfection and when it’s all said and done it’s probably going to be up there with my top game’s of the year this year.

Review of NINTENDO SWITCH Crash Bandicoot N-Sane Trilogy

Good Points: Same original trilogy but much better graphics. Massively helps when playing the game. The game looks smooth and highly polished. Highly recommend for anyone who was a fan of the original trilogy. Also good for newcomers who want to experience an original triple A game with a modern feel.Improvement Points: Anyone who has played Crash knows it can be difficult and can be frustrating at time's but that sense of achievement upon completion is worth it.

The Classic Is Back

Bringing my childhood expereince back to the present moment is one of the greatest feelings I ever had. All 3 games are included on a single cartridge with amazing graphics and surreal experience. Nothing major such as storylines and actions have changed besides the better play experience. Fantastic classics return with a surprise and refreshments for oldies and the new ones.

Triple Fun Retro Classic

Excellent games. Just as I remover them. My daughter loves the playability of these compared to some modern games that become complex strategic moves and not so for chill out time. She’s 8 and loves the games! They really don’t make them as fun anymore! Great to play and reminisce with my 8yr old on games I loved as a kid

This game is really fun. I will be doing separate reviews for each game:- "Crash Bandicoot": a bandicoot known as Crash escapes a laboratory, where the villain Neo Cortex was doing tests, but he still has Crash's girlfriend, so now he has to go and save her (Yes, that part is a little too cliche). The game-play is decent (It is like Mario, you walk through a level, defeat enemies, and go to the finish). There are boxes you smash (don't smash the TNT), by spinning , and you collect fruit to get lives, and you can also get a tiki mask that gives you extra health. The levels are fun, but they are hard too early, so it might stress out some! The boss levels are also hard.- "Crash Bandicoot 2": Now Neo Cortex uses Crash to get him crystals without knowing his evil ... MoreThis game is really fun. And crystals you have to collect.- "Crash Bandicoot 3": Now Crash has to collect crystals traveling through time. The game is harder than the second game but easier than the first. There are also many different level designs, for example Crash can ride a motorcycle and his sister can ride a tiger and a jet ski. The bosses are slightly harder than the second game's bosses. I haven't finished the game but I am about halfway done.In conclusion: I love that all the game have different designs and styles but they still manage to feel like the same game. They are funny, excellent, and very hard games.
