Another downer is the inclusion of microtransactions, which allow players to use real money to buy wumpa coins. While the game items, such as karts, skins, and wheels, do not enhance character statistics, in-game purchases encourage the targeted people to buy more coins with real money.Despite those issues, CTR: Nitro-Fueled is packed with a lot of content, ranging from characters, modes, and a seasonal Grand Prix. The high difficulty learning curve might be a turn off for some, especially those playing at parties, but this latest Crash remake is fun for those looking for a brand new challenge.

Ok so i did 5 star even though i said "almost 2 pefect" ..... reason being is cause back in the ps1 days that almost made the game what it is too me personally if that makes sense. The game is super polished, very smooth, and satisfying to play. Worth a play and has that same challanging aspect to it all from all those years ago

CTR was a childhood favorite game of mine and my family would even play 4 players against each other for a great family night. I had to buy the new one and I really enjoy it but there are some minor issues. First of all, I hate how they introduced in game purchases. I know this just influences the younger audience to buy more skins but I won’t be doing that anytime soon. My other complaint is that the CPUs seems kind of unfair; I’ll hit a CPU player with an item and he spins out as fast as my driving and still stays ahead of me but when I get hit with an item I come to a dead stop and loose 3 positions at least. It’s kind of frustrating but playing against real players online or in your living room is much more fair and a lot more fun. More fun, more comical & more challenges to solve for unlocks with so many characters to race with or against!!! Co-op team up with a friend, against friends or go solo. Youll have so much fun with with the zany power ups, youll be playing for hours!!! If you love racing, then thisll be a keeper, put the metal to the pedal, its time to get nitro fueled!!!
Crash Team Racing is one of the best non Mario Kart kart racing games to be released ever and this game is a complete remake of the original back on the Playstation 1. So, how is this remake? Excellent. It remains a super high quality racer that's well worth picking up and trying for the first time or returning to with all new visuals.For the Switch port in specific, it loses some graphical fidelity from other platforms but it remains largely the same from a visual and performance standpoint minus the resolution and a few small graphical features. I've held off from buying Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, since I already owned it on the Wii U. So, since I've been itching for a new kart racer, I jumped on this. I never played the original, despite loving the original crash trilogy on the PS1.The game looks great, and I love the overall vibes, but boy, the controls took some getting used to. I initially wasn't a fan of power-sliding, since it required 2 separate buttons to initiate, along with specific timing. But after putting some hours into the game, I'm finally starting to get the hang of it. That said, even though I'm generally having fun, I still find myself getting frustrated on occasion.Definitely recommended, but don't expect a straight Mario Kart clone.

When they shoot you, get ready to go from 1st to last with one hit. The AI is broken and if you thought Blue shells in Mario Kart were frustrating, you haven't seen anything yet. You must place 1st place to advance in single player modes which means you'll have to race the same race over and over just trying to get lucky enough to make it. It doesn't matter your skill level on this game, you're either going to get lucky or not. This games makes racing sims look like a walk in the park. This game has new music, new skins for characters, new difficulty settings, and challenges to overcome. I'm having a great time playing this as Crash Bandicoot (CTR for the PSOne) was one of my favorite games. I use to be good, we'll find out if I'm just as good this time around!
Recently bought this after playing it with fam on the Xbox and coming from Mario Kart, this driving is completely different. You can’t really jump and switch directions mid drift to get that extended boost. The buttons also take some adjustment time but after to get some track time under your belt; you’re ready to hit the challenges. Lots of customization available the cart, paint job, stickers even the characters get expanded skins but it doesn’t enhance the stats at all. On adventure mode you race on the track for trophies or try to beat the best times. It’s a pretty wild game but offer a lot of fun.
This game, once you figure it out, is a lot of fun. However you have to figure it out. Once you learnt he maps and proper drifting skills it's very fun to go play through the maps on a Medium difficulty. If you're not very good at the game Medium will be very hard to beat. The downside is, going down to easy, is too easy. There needs to be an in between or you need to get very good. There are lots of modes to play, grand prix, adventure, multiplayer, battle, time trials, and more. Lots of characters as well but some come at a cost. This game is very grindy, and they've now added in microtransactions for unlocking characters if you dont want to spend your hard earned credits. Flaws but very fun in my opinion. Its rewardingly difficult.
