This Acu-Rite thermometer had many great features like the programs for the different meats, I loved that and it worked so well too. However, this unit failed after much usage (domestic) for twelve months or more. It was out of warranty when it suddenly started giving wildly inaccurate temp readings and couldn't be trusted. Acu-Rite in the USA couldn't help me, they offered suggestions but none worked. So yes it's a great thermometer when it worked even though it was expensive but obviously I'm disappointed with it's short life. We now use a cheaper push in probe thermometer with a meter on it, it's a Weber that doesn't use batteries and is just great.

This is the second one I've owned, the first one lasted a good 8 or 10 years. Does what it says on the box and we'll. Love that it has a cable and can be left with the probe in the meat and read out box is on the counter the check.
Takes the guesswork out of cooking all types meat. Easy to use & compact design. Cooks all types of meat to perfection & accurately according to the temperature you have set. I love the way this can be used in the slow cooker as well as the oven . An alarm sounds to let you know that the meat you are cooking has come to the temperature you have set . Great value for money… especially with the great sales Everton are having at the moment.l thoroughly recommend this thermometer to everyone.❤
This is a great thermometer. We had the best roast I've ever cooked the other day. I cooked it to perfection for possibly the first time ever! Very easy to use and program. The only small criticism I have is that the wire needs to be a bit longer as I have a large oven. It would be fine for a normal size oven. Overall I'm very happy with the product and Everten's service. The delivery was quite fast considering it was over the busy Christmas period.
Easy to use, but keep the case away from heat, I have already melted one accidentally!Much simpler to use than those ones that rely on hooking into a mobile phone.

I tried using this for the Thanksgiving bird. I tried it a week before just to ensure accurate, no pun intended, temperature. I confirmed it was correct. Now time to use it for the bird. Not even an hour into it I heard a beep and went to check it out the display was off! Thinking it was a fluke I turned it back on and same thing 30 min later beep and it was off! One more time? Sure why not. Guess what? Again off in 30 min. If the battery was low or not enough charge I would imagine it wouldn't stay on in 30 min increments. This is a waste of time and I really hope it was a fluke thing as I thought I was purchasing a good product. I purchased this AcrRite Meat Thermometer because I had previously owned one of the same brand. It lasted for 10 years before a short developed in the cord.This one seems to work great. I've only had the opportunity to use it twice so far.My only complaints would be...The magnets aren't as strong as they use to be. It tends to slide a bit from it's own weight. And the settings are just a bit complicated, compared to the first one I owned. (On the other one, I just set a temp to reach & it beeped when it got there.) My opinion is based on a comparison of this model to the other one I had for years.Overall, I would highly recommend this. It's an excellent brand.
