Adairs Bamboo Linen Sage Sheet Separates - Super King Fitted Sheet

For many years...until Pakistan pulled the rug from under the Australian Weaving Industry...I was employed as a weaver and our fabrics were pretty close to perfect. Then in an effort to make a larger profit the company started bringing the yarns in from off shore. So we were weaving Indian/Pakistan yarns...then the breaks and blemishes began appearing. Yarn breakage means knots everywhere which means lumps and bumps...although minuscule they’re there nonetheless. Then they bought our weave looms and took them offshore too. So hence the suggestion to wash before using them. Goodness knows what king of vermin has been living/urinating in the bundles of unwoven yarn.

The only positive about these is the gorgeous sage colour.I had such high expectations for these, and jumped at the chance to purchase them 50% off, but they aren't even worth that much money. They didn't feel too bad on the hand when I pulled them from the packaging, a sort of 'rustic' texture, but once I washed & put them on the bed I was bitterly disappointed. They feel scratchy and are incredibly uncomfortable to sleep on, I can only hope that they will get better after a few more washes because in their current condition they won't be going on the bed ever again. I'll be sticking to my world's softest cotton sheets from now on
