Hmmm... these sheets are definitely soft and well-made, though lacking any embellishments or special trimmings you'd expect for the price point (I got mine on special, so they were good value in that sense). But these sheets are just not for me. I'm not convinced by the twill weave, which makes their hand-feel sit somewhere between sateen and percale. They're not unpleasant, but they have a 'slidiness' that reminds me of a button up blouse made from a cotton and synthetic blend. They're good sheets, but they're not my favourite, and I wouldn't pay full price (or even Linen Lovers price) for these. Comes down to personal taste in the end, but that's my experience of them.

Not sure about the softest but still nice. Having the top sheet underneath my doona made me too hot so I'll only be using that as my main cover during hot nights. Love the print though.

It was a risk to believe "world's softest" online. I was expecting a soft, brushed/velvety type of texture, like a cotton doona cover my Mum has, but it's more like a stiff, cheap satin feel. Silly me washed them to see if it would help.
