Worked great with a PS5. That being said, I wish the heatsink could be removed after being placed on the drive as, although I placed it well enough (all NAND, DRAM and controller covered), it wasn't perfect (still fit and functioned fine in the ps5 drive bay). So be aware, once on, the heatsink is stuck: be sure to place it correctly on first attempt.

As soon as Sony released the patch to allow users to install a SSD in PS5's to expand the storage for games, I immediately purchased a 1TB and to my surprise, that got FULL really fast so I decided to spend the extra money and max out the space with this 4TB SSD instead - Very happy about my choice - just as easy to install as it comes with a heat sink and just as fast as the more popular brands. Highly recommended! Trust me, this drive will take a long while to be filled with games....

I did a ton of research before I bought this memory module. At the time I bought it, it had the fastest data transfer rates for the price. Initially, I wished the heatsink was pre installed, but I realized the heatsink could interfere with certain devices; besides, installing it wasn’t that big of a deal.Installing this memory module in my PS5 was ridiculously easy; the average 12 year old could do it. So, don’t be intimidated about doing it yourself, even if you’re intimidated by these types of projects. The hardest part was taking off the case, which, if done properly should pop right off with minimal force. If you find yourself pulling hard on the case, you’re doing it wrong. Just a slight pull at the top, then slide the case down toward the bottom. There are a ... MoreI did a ton of research before I bought this memory module. Just don’t forget to screw in the spacer under the module so it doesn’t bend or flex. The stress could damage the module. There are dozen upon dozens of memory modules for the PS5, I’m very happy I chose this one. The speed is amazing! After you install the module, you’ll notice the read/write speed is slightly lower than the module’s rating. That’s just the capability of the PS5, not the module itself. This module allows me to install dozens of additional games on my PS5. My only disappointment is that I didn’t spend the extra money for the 4TB version.Highly, highly recommended.

Love the extra space on my PS5. Not the fastest but does the job! For a good price. If you have games on an external hard drive, moving them to this internal wont take to long. However if your downloading an entirely new game to this drive it will take much longer then it would be if your downloading straight to the system storage
This SSD has been amazing so far. It's 4 TB which is amazing and has great read and write speeds. It also comes with a heat sink that is incredibly easy to install. I highly recommend purchasing this product.
I was reading the reviews and I was wondering how yall filled your up your space when PS5 doesn’t have really any games out there worth playing. They have jack n sht for multiplayer games and jack left town. I’ve had it since it came out roughly and its become a paper weight tower but I’ll probably still buy this 4tb one and take out my memory free 2tb for when ps5 actually starts putting out games worth buying.
I used this with my PS5. Easy install (with a YouTube video I looked up - doesn’t come with any real instructions for PS5 specifically and marketed to PS5 owners which is why it gets 4 stars) and it has integrated seamlessly. Worth the extra money for the massive storage.
Got this for my PS5 and I absolutely love it! Stores the data I need with plenty of room for more! No more fretting over organizing my storage!Install was super easy too!Plus, the box has some lovely art so I'm gonna keep that.Very happy with this purchase and the pricing as well.
I bought this as a 2nd SSD to increase the storage capacity of my new PC. Put on the included heat sink which is just a thin piece of aluminum and dropped it into my PC in less than 5 minutes. Easy to initialize with Windows 11 and I was good to go. Getting read speeds slightly faster than specc'd, which is a bonus. So impressed that I installed a 2TB version of this SSD into my PS5. Prices could not be beat for the value!
Pricey, but worth every penny! No more moving PS5 games back and forth from the console to the external HDD to play a PS5 game anymore. I also have room for my PS4 games for now. I can fit about 36, 100gb games on here. Plus 6, 100gb games on the original PS5 SSD. This ahould last me a while. Easy to install. I slid the case from the bottom of the PS5. Unscrewed the first screw to open the gray cover. I removed the beige plastic covering from the heatsink adhesive, lined it up on the SSD and gave a light push. I inserted the SSD in the SSD slot matching the notches. I unscrewed the smaller screw with the metal ring that is in the SSD housing attached to the PS5. I then placed the ring first, then the SSD and then the screw to the SSD notch to secure the SSD. I ... MorePricey, but worth every penny!
