adidas has teamed up with global environmental group Parley for the Oceans on numerous occasions over the years to design eco-friendly footwear. The adidas 4DFWD Parley Black Emerald is one of the many sneakers made from sustainable materials that the two companies have come together to create. This adidas x Parley creation is made entirely out of a high-performance yarn that contains about 50% Parley Ocean Plastic. The other 50% of the yarn, meanwhile, is constructed out of recycled polyester. By taking this approach to sneaker design, adidas and Parley are helping to keep so much plastic out of oceans and other bodies of water throughout the world.
