Not only is there a carbon plate under the heel, but this shoe also contains Energyrods, which are carbon rods that sit in the forefront of the shoe. This tuned and lightweight stiffness allows for more anatomical-driven transitions and powerful propulsion. Finally, the Adizero Adios Pro 2 has a Continentaltrade Rubber outsole, which allows for great traction, even in wet conditions. These shoes have been approved for official competition by World Athletics under the new guidelines.
