The Parley for the Oceans x adidas Prime is a symbol of both brands' pledge to create more products with recycled plastics. In partnership with Parley for the Oceans, the adidas running sneaker features a full Primeknit upper that is woven from yarn made from plastic collected on the shoreline. Shades of navy and aqua blue cover the sneaker's upper and a white midsole and outsole finish the look. In 2018 when this style launched, adidas and Parley set a goal of selling 5 million pairs of their collaborative footwear in an effort to help clean up the world’s oceans.
