I have now had a chance to try the out on a good all terrain hike of 10 miles. They fit well out of the box, they are definitely water proof, comfortable to wear and have a good grip. A bonus they look good too. I have had many brands and Adidas currently have my vote for sure.

Fit is a bit small. I suggest ordering 1/2 size up. Product quality is average, for a very expensive shoe. For the price, you could get a premier brand (e.g., Salomon, Merrill, Colombia, La Sportiva, Hoka, etc.)

Loved my first terrex hikers and after testing these new ones out for first time today I’m pleased I bought them. I previously had a size 4 and after much investigation decided to go half size up rather than a full size as advertised on adidas’s website. I feel I have more than enough room for my feet to expand during hikes as my feet are on the wider side, I also use my own orthotic insoles for plantar fasciitis and they work well. The ankle support is good and the grip so far feels like itl be much better than the previous version. I hope they continue to live up to my expectations.

I live in a cold state where the wind blows great guns. Although we don't get much rain in the high desert, it can snow. Since I like to take a walk, I prefer footwear for winter that keeps the tootsies protected from the elements. The Adidas FreeHiker 2.0 (I have both ankle and above ankle models) seems up to the task. A bonus for me is the sole---very comfortable with good gripping power. I think I am going to like these---a lot.
I have the previous version without Gore-Tex, so I want to buy a new one that has Gore-Tex.I feel v2's soles are more soft and comfortable than v1's. And I buy the same size (US 9.5) of this version, I know some people said v2 is tight than v1 and recommend 0.5 to one full size up. Fortunately, it's a regular fit for me, so if your country has a sale of it, just try it before ordering it.
This is my third pair of these Free Hikers, it really feels like you’re walking in air, they’re so comfortable. They have a really solid construction, look great, & even after a full days walking in the rain, they feel as comfortable as when first put on, & being Gortex lined, my feet are bone dry. These are the MK2’s, a different design of lace ups, more like traditional boots rather than like pulling a sock on in the originals. I’m not sure which I prefer yet….
I purchased a men's size 8.5 and was shipped a size 8.5 left shoe, and size 8.0 right shoe. Also, when ordering it never mentioned the shoes were coming from goinggoinggone.com. Just be transparent upfront. Not a good customer experience.
5☆ Rating from me, Although these boots size a little bigger I was able to get the required uk9.5 as opposed to the usual uk9 I take normally so was really pleased about that, The boots themselves I have to say are very impressive. Well made and ultra light and comfortable but also giving lots of support to my ankle, can definitely see myself getting another pair maybe in a different colour perhaps. Even although I live in Scotland where it rains quite alot lol I haven't had the chance to test them out for waterproof ability, I don't think there be any worries that way as can see from the build quality they will be fine.Purchased these at a huge discount from Rrp and were delivered in around a week from somewhere in Europe so that was fine.Well happy
Great shoe from Adidas. The bounce mid sole provides excellent comfort. The continental sole gives superb grip as well.Strangely enough, this shoe seems to wear large, as though Adidas is encouraging you to double sock? Lots of space in the toe box for me and I'm usually a US10 in Adidas shoes.I would recommend this shoe for long day hikes where there is a decent formed path. If you need to traverse rocky terrain, then I might choose a shoe that's more rigid.
I got my son these shoes because he is on his feet for 8-9 hours/day working— he takes over 180,000 steps/day or more. These are the best most comfortable shoes he’s ever had according to him and stylish at the same time. His athletic shoes were not keeping his feet comfortable. He says these provide great support, don’t slip (he’s able to run back and forth from outside to back inside with ease— and keeps his feet dry in rain or snow. I highly recommend these for work and glad he’ll be able to use these for trekking on hikes when he’s not working; he’s also planning to wear them for college where it’s hilly and requires walking in similar situations. Totally versatile for any need.. works as boots, tennis shoes, and hikers.
