I read a quite a few reviews before purchasing this sneaker for a trip to Wyoming. A lot of reviews stated that it was rub against your heals and give you blisters and some said it would be too tight, however, I firmly believe that these shoes are amazing. I did not break in the shoes prior to the hike, and I completed a 16 mile bike ride with a 6 mile inclined rocky wet hike in the grand Tetons and the shoes were perfect. I would say because of ankle swelling towards the end of the day, 1 foot felt a bit tight but honestly nothing that was unbearable. They're very stylish, and I ended up seeing another traveler with the same hiking shoes during another outdoor excursion as well. I would highly recommend to order your size. I am a 9 1/2 women's, but tend to fall true to a size 10 for sneakers and I bought size 10 in the shoes and they were perfect. Keep in mind it's like a sock shoe at the ankle but a bit more hard and that's for ankle stability which you NEED. Again, I did not have any sort of rubbing or blisters but again, remember, you also need to wear the right socks! For reference, I wore high socks from a brand called APL and again, they worked perfect.

I love how lightweight and cushy these hiking boots are. They feel more like an Adidas sneaker than a boot, but with great ankle support. Plus, they are so roomy in the toe box (a big plus for wide feet). I normally wear a size 9 shoe and size 8.5 Adidas sneaker. Ordered these in a 9 to allow for room with a thicker sock in fall/winter. I probably would have been fine with the 8.5, given how roomy they are in the toe, but I appreciate the space. Heel locks in nice and snug. Waterproof, but still breathable so my feet don't get sweaty. The colorway is so cute!

Loved my first terrex hikers and after testing these new ones out for first time today I’m pleased I bought them. I previously had a size 4 and after much investigation decided to go half size up rather than a full size as advertised on adidas’s website. I feel I have more than enough room for my feet to expand during hikes as my feet are on the wider side, I also use my own orthotic insoles for plantar fasciitis and they work well. The ankle support is good and the grip so far feels like itl be much better than the previous version. I hope they continue to live up to my expectations.

These are an good choice for a light weight day hiking shoe. I find them roomier than other hiking boots and sized down. For reference, my La Sportiva's are an 8 and these are a 7.
I was looking for a versatile hiking boot that I can wear for neighborhood dog walks or light hiking on the trails and hills. These definitely fit the bill. Grippy when needed, solid footing on uneven surfaces, cushion for days. I was surprised by the bouncy feeling of these boots and that feature has quickly made these my favorite walking/hiking boot. They feel like a cross between a running shoe and a hiking boot. Perfect for my needs. The high top portion is also comfortable, light support, I don’t think it should be relied on for great support. Just sort of hugs your ankle and will keep debris out of my shoe. I would recommend for walking and general hiking with a bounce in your step.
Love em! Ended up buying another pair. Comfortably snug around the heel and ankle while ample room for the ball of foot and toe area. Great tread grip too for rocky, gravel downhill and inclines.
These hiking boots really fit the description. Great support, gortex waterproof and the bonus is they look good! I’m looking forward to wearing them while hiking in the Swiss Alps.
This is my third pair of these Free Hikers, it really feels like you’re walking in air, they’re so comfortable. They have a really solid construction, look great, & even after a full days walking in the rain, they feel as comfortable as when first put on, & being Gortex lined, my feet are bone dry. These are the MK2’s, a different design of lace ups, more like traditional boots rather than like pulling a sock on in the originals. I’m not sure which I prefer yet….
I really wanted to like these but they were too hard to put on and tight around the ankles. Someone mentioned rubbing up against the skin and I could definitely see that eventually being the case after a long hike. They are much lighter than pictured.
Well they are a great looking shoe, well made, but I thought I would break my foot trying to get my foot in!!! The opening is sooooo small and one has to wrestle to get your foot into the shoe. Returned.
