A classic shoe that has astounding qualities.

I have been wearing these shoes for well over four years. I mostly use them for leisure wear, but one in a while I play indoor and use them for practices. They offer astounding
durability and have lasted me a long time. While playing soccer, they give a good touch and give me confidence on the field. The only downside I can think of is that the
insole becomes really flat over time. Do not use these shoes for simply running. Over time, they offer no support. Nonetheless, anyone should consider these classic shoes for
reasons ranging from leisure or playing on the field.

I've worn these shoes for about 6 years and they never disappoint. I have worn these in every type of weather imaginable. They are amazingly comfortable and a nice break
from my Nike Vapor cleats. I have played indoor with these and I also like to wear them leisurely. These shoes can take a beating I only need about 1 pair per year unless I
grow out of them which very rarely happens because they are such a good fit. I hope if your considering to buy these shoes that my review has helped make up your mind.

In the indoor season, my team plays on turf instead of carpet since we're a travel team. I got these shoes for one game to use on my friends team that was down a player. I
thought i would use them once and get rid of them but as i wore them in the game i reliezed that these are better shoes than you think. I love to wear these outside on the
streets for pick up games with my friends. They are durible and comfortable. I can wear these shoes in real games, pick up games, causal, or even as a nice pair of shoes.
Definetly an amazing shoe!!!

Classic says it all
7 June 2019
I have had a pair of these in my closet since I was introduced to these in the 80's. I absolutely love this shoe!!! Longevity of this shoe is outstanding, even under constant duress of playing soccer. I wear my Sambas many times a week still. Now my 3 daughters own a pair and love them as well, although only 1 plays soccer. As for comfort with playing indoor soccer, I no longer use them as often since they don't support my foot as I need in a shoe in my older age. It is too bad because it is the ONLY show I used in indoor for most of my career. Overall and excellent indoor shoe!! If you are looking for a quality shoe at a very reasonable price, this is a great buy. Whether it is for playing serious soccer or hanging out, I highly recommend this shoe.... Show more

i have only had these shoes for a couple of days now but they r soooo comfortable!!! the cushioning around the achilles is GREAT!!! the tongue is a little big for me but thats just my opinion and is not a setback. i havent played indoor in them yet but i played in my driveway(i dont recommend it for indoors). i played indoor last fall with some adidas indoor pulsados and just from playing in the driveway i can tell they have better touch (in the soul especially) and much much more power in them!!! y does almost every soccer player at my school wear them?? they r just that great for leisure and soccer especially!! 5 STARS ALL THE WAY SO FAR!!... Great Shoes - No Questions asked.
7 June 2019
I am a Korean/Asian footballer, and Asians are known to possess some of the widest feet. Mine are 4 1/2 inches - 5 inches. I needed a pair of football shoes to play indoor football, and decided to go for Asian brands such as Kika, Asics, Pro-specs, and Mizuno. Unfortunately, the quality shoes produced by the Asian companies are very, very limited in the United States. Thus, I decided to choose between Adidas, Nike, and Diadora. I OWN a pair of TOTAL 90's and hated them. I found them too synthetic although they did hold my wide feet pretty well. I thought about getting a pair of Diadora Maracana, but they seemed too narrow for me. When I tried the Sambas, they felt very comfortable. They held my feet almost perfectly, if not perfectly. After buying a pair, I decided ... MoreI am a Korean/Asian footballer, and Asians are known to possess some of the widest feet. Mine are 4 1/2 inches - 5 inches. If you have wide feet, these are the ones you should go for.... Show more

Now made of plastic

Worn for decades. New plastic instead of leather is stiff, hot, and ugly. Tongue now rubs shin. Soles are still great, but synthetic upper has ruined this classic.... Show more

Quality
7 June 2019
Very good shoes for the price. Excellent traction with a good look. I buy soccer shoes for my everydays because typical sneakers blow out within 3 months. Figured I'd give the sambas a try seeing as how they have been a fan favorite for years. Easy break in period, good comfort. Only thing is that it takes a little while to get used to the amount of arch support in them. The first few days may hurt your feet if you're not used to having arch support but after that they feel great. P.S. Love the long tongue on these shoes.... Show more

Sambas
7 June 2019
I got these shoes to play indoors, and they definitly live up to the legend. In fact, the kids on my team started calling me Samba after I got these. Sweet leather & suede, i can turn on a dime, and they are a classic look. plus, if you want a better strike zone, the tongue can fold over the laces. and for those who say that they dont mold to your feet, no sh!t, theyre not supposed to, and sambas are made from the same materials that they have used since day 1. Thats probably why they call them Samba Classics. One thing: dont get these to run track/cross country, they are not really suited for that. For that, get the Nike Free's. And for $45, how can you say no? The only thing that could be better than these would be the ones with kangaroo leather, but I dont have ... MoreI got these shoes to play indoors, and they definitly live up to the legend. This is THE indoor soccer shoe
7 June 2019
OK... This is the original indoor soccer shoe. You can't go wrong with a pair of Sambas! The Samba has great ball feel, with both the leather upper and with the rubber sole. These shoes are very comfortable, reasonably durable, and look great for casual wear. I primarily wear my Sambas with jeans and shorts, and I am always ready for pick-up soccer games. The insole in these shoes is flat, and offers very little support. But that is one reason they have such great ball feel... there aren't multiple layers of rubber, silicone or air pockets between you and the ball. So don't expect these to be like wearing a pair of Nike Air running shoes. Also, the laces don't come up the shoe that far, which means that you can't really cinch them tight around your ankle.
