I have been running in Ultra Boosts for 5 years and thank you Addidas for making each new version better. I have no cartilage in my left knee and was about to give up running. Then -- thanks to my local RoadRunner Sports store -- I was introduced to the shoe. It fits like a glove. It is neutral, with great fore-foot flex. While it is light it has have great cushion on hard surfaces and better than great on soft surfaces. The ride is easy and lets me find my stride where I can run without further knee injury. I finish my runs with no knee pain or swelling. They wear well; I get good mileage from them and I have regained my joy in running. Is it any wonder why I love these shoes!

For my foot type this shoe is a really good fit. While being on the heavy side, the energy return balances out the weight. I actually like the extra weight for a every day training shoe as it helps to strengthen while the boost provides a comfortable ride. While some have complained about getting a good lockdown in the shoe for my foot type it has not been a problem. I wear a 11.5 and found they run true to size. Definitely getting another pair before ultra boost is phased out. For me a great shoe.

Just ordered a second pair. Running 25 years have had all brands and models of shoes. I wasn't sure how well these would work for running and thought they might not breathe well, but bought a pair anyway because they fit my feet like a glove. I am rotating these with Asics Gel Kayano 24, Brooks Levitate and Ghost 10, but find myself going back to the Adidas for most runs. Why? Dynamite and responsive cushioning for me (5'10", 145lbs.), I don't need a structured or motion control shoe and these seem to work well with my stride and foot strike. My feet stay cool and dry enough also. But even more, I find myself extending my runs in these many days because these feel so easy to run in. Not sure if it is the Ultra Boost material or the fit or what, but sometimes we find ... MoreJust ordered a second pair. Running 25 years have had all brands and models of shoes. Not sure if it is the Ultra Boost material or the fit or what, but sometimes we find shoes that just work really well for us. They do seem a little heavier than my Gel Kayano or Ghost 10, but I think the Levitate may be slightly heavier than the Adidas. In any event my running pace for my routes (per GPS watch) is just as good or better than the other shoes with less perceived effort, so the additional weight if any doesn't slow me down. I do also notice my runs feel easier and with less effort than the other shoes for the same pace per mile. These are also really quiet when running compared to the Gel Kayano. The only issue is after just 75 miles the outside edges of the heels are wearing some (no matter they are slightly tapered), but all my shoes wear like that, so I use shoe goo. The rest of the soles look nearly new. I think manufacturers should bevel the back outside edges of the heels on running shoes as the normal foot-strike for lots of runners is that the outside rear edge of the heels hit the ground first and wears out pretty fast. There was an old shoe the Etonic Allegro that had the beveled heels that lasted as long as the rest of the shoe - that was a great idea, but I haven't seen it in any other shoes since then.

These shoes are amazing! I have never been a 'runner' but with the gyms shutting down due to the pandemic I decided to get out and try. I am 47 and was getting started using my cross trainers. They were not very comfortable and I wound up with knee pain and then heel pan after each run. I have a friend who is an avid runner and she has these same Ultra Boost 19 running shoes. She recommended them to me and I was able to find the ones I wanted here on the RoadRunner Sports website. When my heal pain subsided and I was able to get out and run, I was blown away at the difference compared to my cross trainers. These shows have great cushioning and good recoil/rebound. I have not had any knee or heal pain since I started running in these shoes. I am now running 3-4 days a week and I have been able to increase my distance by 50%. I am very happy with these shoes from the color to the 'sock like' fit and definitely with the performance. I will be picking up another pair of Ultra Boost 19/20's when these 19's are ready to be replaced.
The upper is a much better fit with the thinner tongue. I never had an issue with the cage before so the change doesn't affect me. The boost midsole with 20% more boost material lost some of the squish or cushioning which I liked but this boost is still softer than most shoes listed as a cat. 5 softness on RR. Love the shoe just the same as the original boost.
FIRST - SENDING THE SHOES BACK COMPLETLEY UN WORN. HAVE WORN NIKE ZOOM VOMERO'S FOR SEVERAL YEARS SIZE 10.5, WITH ADDED CUSHIONED INNER SOLE. TRIED TO PUT ON ULTRA BOOST 19 SAME SIZE & COULDN'T GET ONE OF THEM ON CORRECTLY. WORKED FOR SEVERAL MINUTES & GOT ONE ON, BUT FIT SO TIGHT NO WAY COULD EVER WEAR TO WALK LET ALONE RUN. WHATEVER THE DESIGN IS FOR PUTTING THE SHOE ON, DOESN'T WORK WELL. TOTALLLY DISSATISFIED.
I have been running since the early 70s and this is the worst fitting shoe I have ever worn.I have normal feet and wear orthotics and intakes Herculean effort to put the shoes on,even after 2 weeks of use.Like other reviewers have said; the shoes are abnormally narrow. They feel very cheap and flimsy for a training shoe, and the feel of the cushioning feels hard, compared to the new balance fresh foams and the Hola One Ones I have worn in the past 2 years.I am an old guy and am not running seriously anymore; But I almost feel like I am risking my back and knees just doing low mileage. These are the first shoes I've ordered from RR sports over the decades that have been unacceptable.
After training and running in three consecutive Boston Marathons (2017-19) in the Ultra Boost, I was excited about the update until I tried two separate pair of the Ultra Boost 19. The sole has not changed much but the entire upper lacks structure. Needless to say, I am disappointed after such a "long run" with the Ultra Boost line. Hopefully, Adidas will again place function over fashion in the next version meanwhile I have changed brands.
I have no clue what Adidas was thinking ruining one of the most popular shoes ever, it would be hard to design an uglier shoe than this. I can't imagine anyone seeing these and thinking "Wow, I really want these shoes". I hope Adidas keeps making the original ultra boost as well because they are my go to shoe and even though they are stupid expensive I have a bunch of pairs, but there is no chance I would ever wear these things. They are super comfortable but new design is awful.
Great shoe! I always buy Adidas shoes! Please the upper position of this shoe is so tight, I had to cut my new show for flexibility, please change this upper sewed meshy fitting to regular fitting. The upper heal back support is not well designed, cause ankle and arch pain if you run long distance with the shoe, the fitting for previous Ultra Boost was perfect! Keep Cushion Level 5, great for us long distance runners!!
