A flatlock seam creates pinholes with every stitch, resulting in a seam that leaks water. In warmer climates this can be an advantage but if you're wearing a wetsuit to stay warm you need it to keep cold water out and having a thousand pin-holes is obviously not ideal.. By laying a nylon tape over the entire seam [internally] Adrenalin have managed to keep the HyperDry hyper dry because now the water can't move through the pinholes.
