I chose this Bosch battery powered trim router over their mains powered option because it is lighter and far easier to handle/ manipulate with delicate work. I suspect it’s lower power/ torque may prove an issue but then I have a range of Trend routers that would cope. I note the product description says single speed. That’s incorrect. It comes with a variable speed control. It also includes a dust extraction attachment which in this day and age should be a mandatory H&S requirement. The mains power version doesn’t bizarrly. One thing I particularly like is it’s easy to see where the router bit is in relation to the wood being worked. So, early days and trial use as I write. It promises to cater for my needs.

It’s a lovely little thing to handle, much easier to do smaller pieces than the mains powered one. More powerful than I thought it would be. Battery lasted well.
