Worked like a dream for a month then the valve to empty the tank just snapped off from corrosion. Swapped out the same compressor and didn't last a day as a part few off and wouldn't stop leaking.... Show more

I bought this AEG compressor after lots of research. It exceeded my expectations. Solidly built (like all AEG products) and very quiet. Rather than trying to rush jobs because the air compressor is deafening me, this unit means I take my time and appreciate the compact efficiency of this awesome bit of kit. I was in two minds for a long time about purchasing this compressor. 85% of my kit is AEG ( bar my big tools, table saw, thicknesser, jointer etc) and over the decade or so of using this brand I have only had to claim 1 warranty which was dealt with in 5 days with a new item. Best warranty service ever! Now back to the compressor.I wanted a small, quiet, reliable and powerful compressor for my small workshop so this seemed to fit the bill (on paper). My expectations weren't high but that went out the window when I got this bad boy home and put it to the test! Stealth is an understatement! In an open area standing over it having a conversation, you quickly forget it's running. So far I have tested it out on an air blow gun, 15gauge DA Brad nailer, Framing nailer, ... The framing nailer needs a second between shots to keep it happy but besides that, this little beast is the quiet performer indeed!!!If you are after a quiet, small unit that packs a punch for your hobby, diy and even trade needs, I highly recommend this unit.Keep in mind though, as awesome as it is, it is only a 6L capacity so treat it as such, be realistic about the capacity and how it is used and you will be quite impressed with it. I know I am!It's easy to use and maintain and the fact you can dial in your desired psi is excellent. Lastly the anti vibration feet are no joke! I'm a 25 yr seasoned tradesman turned furniture maker. I am fussy with my tools and can say with confidence this one puts a smile on my dial everytime I turn it on! The AEG 6L oil free compressor is ideal for my needs. Wanting to have a compressor indoors, I needed something quiet and reliable the AEG 6L surpassed my expectations.
