I have had the 12 inch brushless chainsaw for a few months.I received it through the redemption.Was a bit unsure how well it would perform in comparison to my petrol chainsaw.We went camping & thought it would be a great opportunity to give it a go.To my surprise it is a little work horse.It cut through 300mm hardwood timber.I was able to fill up 1/2 a ute load of timber on one 6amp battery.The chainsaw it light weight so my boys aged 11 & 13 where able to use it with ease.Great little addition to my tool or camping kit.Only downfall to this product is that it doesn't come with a carry case.Maybe that's in the pipeline for AEG in the near future.

Wow! What a terrific tool, this AEG chainsaw cut through some really huge trees in our yard like cutting butter, in fact we cut up trees all afternoon with just two 4Ah batteries, it's easy to use, very powerful and easy to clean afterwards, no lies this is without a doubt an impressive tool - couldn't be happier that I purchased this!

Was abit sceptical at first but I needed a chain saw over chrissy while the misses and I were camping so shot down to my local Bunnings and grab the 12” brushless and my god I was surprised. It’s light weight, very mobile and performed flawlessly!! Plenty of grunt and super easy to use and handle. My misses even had a rack and loved it for it light weight and ease of use and she’s never used a chainsaw in her life!! Absolute top bit of gear from you legends at AEG, if I could have a would have rated it 10 stars!!!

I purchased an AEG 2" Battery powered Chainsaw to use when we go camping. I have found it great to cut up firewood for our campfire. I have previously owned petrol powered chainsaws for over 20 years. The battery AEG means I no longer have to carry petrol with me. It is also a lot easier to store in the 4WD without the constant smell of petrol fumes. Highly recommended for cutting up wood up to 150-200mm in girth. Would be a great handyman chainsaw around suburban blocks. As I have four other AEG 18V batteries for my two drills, circular saw & blower, I never run out of power.
If you already have AEG products or are looking at getting them. I highly recommend this chainsaw. Its great for use around the backyard or property. I had never used a chainsaw before and i had no issues using this one.

However having used it on bamboo, (which is really hard on saws) I am really happy with the saw. It chews through any timber quickly. The batteries last surprisingly long. The saw comes with a quality Oregon chain fitted. Chain tension is easy and consistent. The bar oil tank is huge and rarely needs filling. The 12” cutter bar is well made and a great size for general use. The chain brake is super quick and reliable. The supplied chain is an anti kickback design. I love everything about this saw. I purchased an AEG electric chain saw to carry with my other cordless AEG tools in our motorhome. We work on the road and the saw is a fantastic addition to my other tools. I have wanted a chain saw for ages, but didn’t want to carry petrol & two stoke oil. I did some research and found out the AEG also did a cordless chain saw, which actually used the same batteries as my other tools, which was a great bonus. I went straight to Bunnings and purchased one straight away. It is light, environmental frendly, quiet and you can even use it one handed. This saw is perfect for every application that you would use a petrol powered chainsaw for.
Bought chainsaw for my wife for small jobs around the farm. She absolutely loves it.Simple, easy start. Lightweight and does a fantastic job.Only small issue is chain needs tightening regularly.
I needed a battery chainsaw for small jobs and already had 4A & 6A AEG batteries so bought this skin. Very very happy with it. I nearly filled a 6x4 trailer with firewood up to about 20cm thick. I can't apply full pressure like I do with my large petrol chainsaw but it did the job way better than I expected. I took the petrol chainsaw with me but didn't use it. Great buy, except for the price. All battery tools are overpriced but very convenient.
Took this little chainsaw away camping last week, first time I'd really used it and I was honestly blown away. Some big trees had fallen over the tracks I was heading in and I was worried the chainsaw wouldn't cut through it but it did it no worries, and with only a 5 ah battery it lasted well and truly long enough, cutting the whole fallen over tree into small enough pieces to lift and use as firewood. Would definitely recommend this to anyone, don't let the small size or battery powered turn you away!
