Handy tool, because of it‘s smaller size you can reach places, where bigger tools can‘t get to. Wished it had a two or three way switch for lower speeds to be able to use for example 76 mm saw blades. For that purpose it might also need an additional gearbox.It is ergonomically shaped and feels good in one hand. Since I bought it I use it all the time.

Handy little tool. One of those tools you always find a use for and wish you always had. It gets though 3mm steel posts easily enough. Generally a handy and well made tool. Some things could have been done better but hopefully newer models will iron out the design issues.
Brilliant tool. I've used it for the main purpose for which I bought it and it is flawless. For so long I wished someone would manufacture what would essentially be a miniature circular saw. Only thing missing from this tool is a timber cutting disc. But they don't seem to make one for this tool. If it had a timber cutting disc, I would have rated it 5 stars.
This tool is perfect for that tricky job that can't be done with your bigger saws. I cut hot point holes in villa board easily with it. The little vent cover came off at the back but clipped back in ok. Blade variety at bunnings is limited. I love this tool!
Owned this now for over a year. The light weight and compact design belies the great toughness of the tool. I have 3 of the AEG sub compact and they are very handy for those tight spaces and light weight for high reach work. The first one did have a vibration issue but AEG sorted this. It was probably in the early batches. No issue now.
Handy little cutting tool, great that it takes 18v battery not 12v like some others, it's good that it has a Allen key onboard. I have cut a ~300mm thick PVC pipe some tile and concrete dags so far a worthwhile toolbox addition.
This subcompact cutter/grinder has become my go-to tool for so many small jobs. Whether it PVC pipe, aluminum, steel, rubber or plastic I’m constantly reaching for this tool. It is very light and easy to maneuver into tight spots. I read a previous review citing excess vibration. My unit does not have this problem. I wonder if the user didn’t fit the grinding disc correctly?
Purchased this a week ago. The unit vibrates badly at high speed. Replaced the unit once but second the same. Have spoken to Manufacturer re issue but no answer. Needs addressing.
