Great bit of kit. Good value & solid. So much so, I just bought to other AEG items (Twin combo kit) which is also great. Cannot go wrong with AEG. Only updated my old AEG even though its going strong after 5 years of beating!

The 6 modes and the brushless technology makes this the best AEG tool in my toolbox. Easy to use, light weight and low power consumption means batteries past longer on the job. Good unit!

Have been an AEG user for numerous years and they've never let me down. Long warranty, long lasting and they dont miss a beat. This impact driver has not disappointed. The brushless tools while a little more expensive then the others, is definately worth it

Been using the fusion impact driver for about a month now and it's pretty mean aye. It's got heaps of cool modes and the speed is pretty quick. It's pretty bulky but I quite like that as it feels solid in the hand. I feel like AEG have really upped their game with the Fusion line as it keeps up with most major brands. My boss needed a new kit and after using some of my Fusion gear went out and bought a 9 piece kit and got two 9 amp batteries with the redemption. Oh and hes a ten year deep makita man so says something I guess. 2 thumbs up from me.
Favourite tool in the kit bag - though a bit slower than a conventional drill for driving screws, the anvil driving gives far better control over the screw than a drill. it is also lighter and easier to change bits, I couldn't live without it.
Great product, love the torque and speed setting. The weight isn't too bad even with a 6ah battery and using it overhead in confined spaces
I bought this yesterday after carefully comparing all the specs of different models etc. Apart from the high torque, this 6-mode one is listed as generating around 1/3 of the vibration! Before I went in and bought it, I tested a basic AEG model and a 5yr old Milwaukee, both of which are owned by workmates, by unbolting and retightening a wheel on a work ute. Those two run at about 180nm and struggled, but it showed the 6-mode 280nm version would kill it.It didn't. I tried it on it's 120nm setting, checking with one of our torque wrenches, and it came out at around 88nm. Max torque with a fully charged 4A/hr battery was around 155nm.I wanted this driver for it's versatility. It was a toss up between this and a 480nm brushless impact wrench KIT, c/with a $160.00 ... If I'd known then what I know now I would have bought the cheaper driver and the impact wrench kit. This one goes back for a refund tomorrow. Other than it's woeful lack of grunt, it's very nice. I've got an AEG drill that goes like a rabid rabbit so I want to stay with their gear and will go the two alternatives for $200 more. I just wish their advertised specs were more accurate!
I've had this for a few weeks, and I'm not yet convinced that I made the right choice. All my battery tools are AEG, I've been a staunch supporter of the brand, and will put AEG up against anything else on the market.......up to now.As a builder, and sometimes doing renovations here in NZ, I come up against our native timber in old houses. Although the nM claim by AEG for the impact driver is up there near the top of comparable drivers, I've found it just doesn't cut it. We have had a test on site between this driver, a four year old Makita, and a two year old Dewalt, (all 18 volt) both these drivers were well below the claimed nM of torque of the AEG.Alas the AEG Driver was last driving a 90 mm bugle screw into a native stud. It only drove one screw all the way! I tried all the different variations of the settings, and still couldn't match the other two.I don't know if it's me, or I'm not using the right setting (BTW, the manuals really need sorting out AEG, I think the vacuum had the best one, all the rest.......woeful)I will continue to persevere with it, and hopefully I can get the best from this tool (I have with everything else)Don't get me wrong, I love AEG, best warranty, durability, and ergonomics, but this driver has not (yet) lived up to my expectations.
A nice and compact impact driver. In reverse it’s particularly handy with its ‘pulse’ action to ease slippage and for controlled dismantling when you need to unscrew things that have been together for a while. But I’m afraid I had to return it because it was a pain changing batteries. The moulding that houses the battery is just far too tight for easy interchange. I put up with it for a while, hoping that it would ease up, but it didn’t. Sadly, the stealth version i replaces it with is still too tight in my opinion, but easier.
Got this in a kit a few weeks back.Awesome tool, does absolutely everything you need it too. Only change I’d like to see is a bit smaller in the future. Apart from that it’s a awesome little tool.Aeg doing good thing’s lately. Highly underrated in my opinion.
