This Dryer Dries!!!What a relief it is to finally have clothes that are dry after one load in this dryer. My old LG took hours on a load and usually always needed turned on twice to finish the load. It was so bad I actually forgot how good a dryer is that can do the job once and quickly! I love my new AEG 8000 so much. To say it took a load off is an understatement.

This dryer is so well built and works amazingly well. I see a few reviews saying that clothes are still damp - check your settings! Use the correct cycle and use 'Cupboard Plus' if its not quite dry enough for you. The linen setting is sensational - sheets/doona covers are not tangles or balled up and totally dry - I have never had a dryer do this before. Clothes come out soft and dry. Totally satisfied - is a better machine than I was expecting.

The performance of this machine is absolutely terrible!! Clothes and linen are damp, if not wet, when the program finishes, and even if you start it again, the sensor stops the program and turns the machine off. Which would be amazing if the clothes were actually dry.

Was worried about the bad reviews and the reason to why I took so long to purchase one. So I picked it, the 8000 series sensidry. Got it from broadmeadows harvey norman and 100% happy with the results. If you pick the right setting and dry time it will do its job. If you open it and find them a little damp, just click the start button again and will stop automatically after 10 or so minuteswith finish results. Looks good and the led light compliments it well. I didn't think Aeg would make a dryer that doesn't do its job, just follow the right setting and it will do its job.
Purchased with an AEG Washing Machine.....clothes do not dry, they come out damp. Have adjusted drying level, and have called AEG help line. Even the light clothing items do not dry. It keeps stopping, and not completing a cycle time. Happy if it took longer and actually dried the clothes, but it does not even do that. Completely ineffective as a "dryer".
I bought a this one weeks ago have spent time to figure out 7days.We originally thought that this dryer had some problems and even called AEG customer service but it turned out that was the nature of this machine. It never fully dries the clothes due to the inbuilt sensor. It seems never hot so wasted time and effort. so stressed out!It is worst dryer I have ever encountered in my life. I had paid a lot for this dryer along with the AEG washing machine.I really regret switching over from other known brands to AEG.
I bought this 8 Series dryer several months ago. It leaves sheets and synthetics slightly damp, even on the super-dry setting. Harvey Norman said they do not consider this to be a fault under the warranty, apparently it's just to be expected from a machine like this. I do not recommend this at all. It has been an expensive mistake.
I bought this dryer 2 years ago, and bas this was to be the first new dryer I'd be purchasing in many years, I decided to splash out. That was a big mistake. Initially I thought the dryer was faulty as nothing ever came out dry. And I found that one of the biggest selling points of the reverse spin so clothes and sheets would not tangle and ball around themselves, was a complete fabrication. This machine performs like any other regular dryer - your sheets and clothes will ball up, leaving a big portion of your items rolled up in damp balls.I decided to go online to look for help as I thought I must be missing something crucial. By all accounts and reviews I could find at the time, damp clothes seemed to be the normal outcome. By all accounts and reviews I could find at the time, damp clothes seemed to be the normal outcome. So I have persevered with this, regrettably. I find that the sensor can extend the drying time sometimes up to 8-9 even 10 hours at a time. Instead of being an energy saver, this has increased my power bills. On the odd occasion the clothes would be dry after these long runs.I recently had to have repairs done by AEG as the motor seized up. The technician's advice when he looked at it was that he'd seen this happen in these models quite a bit.Save your money. I would absolutely not recommend this product.
Should come with a warning that it only operates in a room that has a temperature of above 5 degrees. It takes what seems like forever to get clothes almost dry - and that only works if you have it set on the "extra dry" setting.Seems to have no way to increase the temperature to dry clothes quickly so am going to have to buy a second cheap dryer to do that, which is the only option available if I need clothes dried in a hurry. Guess which brand I won't be buying.Sure it may be more economical on power - but not when you consider that to get it actually function as a dryer, we have to run a heater in that room, to get the room temperature above 5 degrees for this temperamental machine to potentially dry a load.It will not dry blankets, duvets or comforters, ... MoreShould come with a warning that it only operates in a room that has a temperature of above 5 degrees. It may say it has 2 hours to go to finish, but after that 2 hours it'll often show on the display it needs another 2 hours. And yes we clean the filters after every load and vacuum filters and condenser out every second load or so, so that can't be the issue.
i have had this dryer for a year. It is hopeless. It quite often just balls sheets, pillow cases into a ball and they are all still damp after a drying cycle. towels are hit and miss and may or may not come out dry. No idea why how it decides the dryness of things when i have dryer set to driest setting. the old cheap dryer we had was so much more effective. the only reason i have this dryer is that it complimented the aeg washing machine we have. (washing machine is fine). This dryer will sometimes only go for a portion of the drying time so i set it to do dry again and same thing. Its like it knows better. I have no idea why it is so hopeless when it says it does so much more. I would not ever get this dryer again. It shouldnt even be called a dryer as i doest ... Morei have had this dryer for a year. Have just put three small blankets in and have tried 4 times to get them dry.. still damp better put them on the line i guess. i cant believe the reviews where people love it. wish i was one of them!!!. advice. do not buy!!
