This is a great piece of kit for an acoustic artist. It even takes a jazz guitar well. The features incorporated support both my old mid-range Takamine and my newer Martin, giving the ability to shape the tone on each (but mainly the Tak) to a professional performance standard without other pedals. On its own, it is enough to gig with in most small to medium venues, but the ability to DI out pre- and post effects gives greater control plus a de facto on-stage monitor where a PA is used.

Excellent acoustic amplifier, a bit or icey, but well worth the extra cost. Amplified guitar sounds very similar to natural acoustic sound with no horrible synthetic metallic overtones. Even my cheaper guitar sounds good through this. Strongly recommend.

I purchased the AER for its quality. Looked at all the other acoustic amps and they sounded cheap with very little depth of sound. As soon I played one note I knew I had found what I was looking for. Before you purchase another acoustic amp play this one and you will know what I am talking about!

Best acoustic amp anywhere. Doesnt sound like an amp, sounds like a guitar! As well, the voice reproduction is as amazing. I use these in a solo gig, as well as in a band, using additional ampsfor monitors. Traveling? it's 'carry on' luggage, fits in the overhead.
Have been using these as backline for years, and have finally got my own one. Does everything you'd expect it to, and is built solidly. Can load in for a solo show with one trip from the car, and light enough for public transport too. Absolutely loud enough by itself for a pub/bar or small outdoor stage gig, no extra PA required.
As good as the reviews say. Lightweight, compact, all the features you need to gig with. Amplifies your acoustic without colouring your sound. Also tried it out with an archtop jazz guitar - did not disappoint. There are cheaper amps, but in this case you definitely get what you pay for, a serious amp!
AER Compact 60 is as good as they say it is. Purchased to replace a different (less expensive) brand of acoustic amp (from a different retail outlet) that developed a fault withing days of purchase. The build quality and sound from the AER are clearly superior to the cheaper amp - I guess you get what you pay for.Difficult to give a score for "durability" as I've only had the amp for a couple of months, but the build quality looks like it should give good service for many years, and all good so far."Looks" is also difficult - how do you score a black box for looks? Nevertheless, there is obvious attention to detail. The only negative about these amps are that they are expensive, but then real quality doesn't come cheap.
Super - easy to get a great natural sound! Only criticism would be lack of flexibility with effects. Would he nice to: 1. Have reverb and delay or reverb and chorus. 2. Be able to control delay. But that is nitpicking - awesome piece of kit which is incredibly light.Service from PMT excellent as always!
