A good pair if you handle with care

I felt the material in-store when I bought the green one, and since it seemed fragile I've been putting it in cold washes and drying in a mesh delicates bag. It's held up well. Would recommend this style if you are already used to a delicate wash routine; if that seems like a hassle to you you might want to pass on this one as it's a little high maintenance. The material is very soft, comfy, and breathable. However it's almost slippery smooth so it is a bit wedgie-prone, and pantiliners peel off of it really easily when I'm putting the underwear on; however once the underwear is on they've never come off while I'm wearing it. The coverage is very full, which I like. They look wrinkly when on their own, but they stretch and look just fine on. As a 51 year old mom, who has some curves thanks to Covid and kids, finding good underwear that aren't homely can be tough. My college daughter loves aerie undies, told me to try them, I would not be disappointed. She could not have been more correct. The material is thin so it doesn't leave a massive underwear line through your pants (although I am modest I cover my backside typically), but the comfort, the no wedgie factor is awesome, and they are nice, thin and breathable, but also feel like they are of great quality. I took advantage of their underwear sale, and I would recommend you do the same the next time it's offered. You won't be disappointed! #AerieReal

I’ve been wearing these undies almost exclusively for the past 6 years. When I saw these new reviews online I went to the store to check it out for myself, and they are DEFINITELY not the same. The material feels so cheap and thin. I would compare it to the modal fabric, which is just way too flimsy for me. They are still soft, but the quality is so much lower. The hems and stitches are very low quality now as well. They look like they’d be scratchy and annoying, like they’d dig into your skin. Overall, this is absolutely not worth the $9. I’m so sad! Not sure where I’m going to find undies that match the quality that these used to have. Sadly so many other brands are lowering their quality as well these days.

Great panties! I got the wrong size :(
4 August 2022

These are very well made and I love the ribbing! The material is very soft and comfortable (coming from a person who has very bad, and very sensitive skin.) I purchased these in store first, but the store did not have my size, so I plan to order a size larger offline (xxl). Despite my sizing problem, I would say that the underwear fits true to size. My advice is though is that you know what size you want, and if you want looser then size up. I personally like my underwear to fit comfortably loose while not falling down. The size xl just didn’t fit this preference!#AEReviewSweepsEntry

I am no longer an Aerie Fan

I can’t even begin to stress how disappointed and bummed out I am in this company. I exclusively only bought Aerie for my undergarments for more than a decade and I have several pairs of the original boy brief that are still going strong after years and years. The new ones I purchased have already begun to fall apart after two washes! Two. I wash all my undergarments on delicate and cold. The elastic is starting to poke out of the edges and the waistband already doesn’t lay flat but crinkles. I used to only buy Aerie for my underwear because of the quality and how long it lasted for the price but it looks like yet another thing ruined by corporate greed. The product isn’t “improved” at all, just made with less fabric (the difference in thickness from my older pair compared to now is a huge difference), and cheaper materials (and more expensive). Good for the company shareholders, bad for everyone else. I do not recommend these and will be starting the annoying process of finding a new company now.

Product is great, but packaging is... not

The aerie boybriefs are some of my favorites in all respects, and I've been wearing primarily these for a few years now. I ordered two bundles, four of which were this exact product, and six more of which were this cut in a slightly different style. However, when ordering a bundle, I find it a little offputting that a product listed as "Real Good, Made With the Planet in Mind" on the site is shipped with an individual plastic package for each piece of underwear. I understand that the intent is to insist on hygiene, but with the knowledge that in-store is just laid out without that plastic packaging and sells just fine... it definitely makes me unhappy, that any good work being done by making eco-friendly products is being offset with the packaging choices including ... MoreThe aerie boybriefs are some of my favorites in all respects, and I've been wearing primarily these for a few years now. Sizing and Quality had definitely changed
16 July 2022

Aerie used to be my go to for underwear because it was actually good and affordable but now I find that the size I have always ordered is way too tight in this style and way too loose in others, even though I haven't gained or lost any weight, and the undies deteriorate incredibly quickly. Like ridiculously fast. I have old pairs of aerie undies from HIGH SCHOOL (6 years ago) that are in better shape than the ones I bought a few months ago. It's upsetting when prices go up and quality goes down. Especially when Aerie is the go-to for a lot of women looking for nice and affordable options, I have been disappointed by every pair I've bought in the last two years and I guess I'll have to find somewhere else to shop for undies.

THE BESSSST, BUT...
19 November 2022

These undies are seriously amazing! I've been buying my undies exclusively from AE for about 15 years now. This new modal material is out of this world and has become my new favourite go-to for comfortable everyday undies. However... I've recently had some issues with skin sensitivity and contact dermatitis. It appears the little stitched V design on the front top center has been annoying the crap out of my sensitive skin and I keep getting a little rash. Since realizing the undies stitching was triggering the reaction, I've now stopped wearing them. But I just bought all new pairs of these to replace my old collection and I finally found my comfiest fave, so I'm a little sad. Maybe a lot sad. Could you pretty please make a design without the extra V stitching for ... MoreThese undies are seriously amazing! I've been buying my undies exclusively from AE for about 15 years now. I would be giving 6 stars if I could, only gave 4 because of the V design causing a reaction for my sensitive skin.

Weird?
30 November 2022

these have to be the strangest underwear i’ve ever bought. they are a little wedgie prone because they don’t have full cheek coverage, but that might just be a me problem. the fabric isn’t exactly uncomfortable, but not my idea of best material for underwear. I almost feel too bare! (if not for the wedgies). that feeling is multiplied by the fact that there is no extra fabric liner!! jeepers! i thought i had a ruined pair at first because instead of a liner there’s random threads and jagged edge seams. i get it, seamless and fitted, but no liner isn’t gonna work for me if i want to leave my house lol

the BEST underwear EVER
7 February 2023

These are the only underwear for me!! I have been buying them since 2015 or earlier? And will never go back to anything else as long as these continue to be offered exactly as they are. They are 100% true to size. I have them in black, white, and 1 each of the navy blue with polar bears and stars, and solid light lavender. I'd love more in lavender and other pastels, but am also quite happy with the black ones I have. They don't discolor over time, for one thing (I mean, maybe fade slightly to charcoal gray after like 5 years? no problem). And they are so soft and comfortable. I'm allergic to latex/rubber and I can safely wear these. I love the recurring deal of getting 6 for $36. Anyway, I love these and will be buying them again!!! (and again!!!)
