I've been mixing this balancing gel with the hydrating moisturiser and it's been great. The texture of this gel is extremely thick and it's almost like glue. I normally scoop some out and put it on my palm, then scoop out some moisturiser and put it on the same palm, mix them together and then pat it on my face. I've only been using this for 2 weeks, and I'm hoping that this will help brighten my overall complexion with the vitamin C inside the product.

I was advised to buy this (from my OB) as I had just had a baby & this helped with pigmentation. Aesop don’t recommend to use this for the purpose of that but it helped with it, & all pigmentation is gone. I use it for my face & it brightens my skin the very next day. My skin literally drinks this up!!! Worth every penny & after trying all the skincare out there I’m one that believes in the least expensive, most natural types of skincare & most gentle - but this albeit pricey is great! Even if only a few times a week. Quite potent, but even with my fairly sensitive skin, it was fine.

I chose a sample with my last purchase as I am a fan of Aesop but I was disappointed. Firstly it is a an expensive product, there are many better options on the market in this price range. I warmed the gel in my hands before applying but it felt sticky and needed a good facial massage before it was completely absorbed, however my skin did feel hydrated in the morning.
