I absolutely love this scent. The woman at the store told me that this was more of a "manly" scent, but in all honesty I find it very gender-neutral. It reminds me of a lot of the woodsy/forest-y hibiki smells that were in Japan. I always get compliments when I wear this scent - so much so that it's become my daily go-to. It's very "zen" which sounds cheesy to say, but it really makes me feel at peace.

A gorgeous fragrance of pencil shavings

I will be devastated if Aesop ever discontinues this fragrance. It is woody, sensual, unusual, very sexy, it gets me lots of compliments and somehow became my trademark fragrance.It is not very powerful so you have to re-apply often which makes it not very financially effective. Sadly. But it is gorgeous. if you like wordy, slightly masculine fragrances give it a try. Love the simplicity of the bottle as well.

A winner from Aesop!

This is another classic from Aesop and one of my personal favourite scents from them. Woody, earthy, but green. It smells like I was walking through a Japanese cypress forest and having an onsen bath in the middle of it. If you're a fan of Le Labo Santal 33, this is very much in your wheelhouse.

Best woody fragrance

If you want a pure woody and spicy fragrance without strong smoky, this is the one for you. It lasts well on me and people give compliments quite often when I wear this. It is purely unisex and a great one for winter months.

Extraordinary

I’m one of those that rarely wears perfume but I find myself reaching for Hwyl almost daily. It’s certainly different from the crowd and possibly not for everyone, but for those looking for something a little mysterious and earthy this is definitely worth trying. I adore it.

Heartwarming

A wonderful warming comforting scent for winter and amazingly seductive and evocative perfume for summer. Hedonistic and well rounded scent that wears well throughoutthe day. No strong instant base alcohol smell and certainly no alcohol lingering smell. A definite good find.

One of my favs

I love this fragrance for autumn/winter so so much. It’s woodsy and deep without having any musk/amber/powdery additions that I can’t stand. It’s a really beautiful, layered, grown-up type scent. I would say it’s pretty unisex as well. I find it has quite good staying power. It’s great!

Perfect Day to Evening Summer Scent

This fragrance is hard to find at the moment, I’m so glad I managed to find it here. This scent is warm with wood notes, but still fresh. Very unique. Excellent service and fast shipping.

What you expect

This is my second Aesop fragrance. Both are beautiful fragrances. Long lasting and you do not need to use much. I have had several comments saying that I smell nice. It's not overpowering. Will be using this from now on and want to try others.

Woody

This is one of Aesop's signature fragrances, the scent of which echoes its simplistic philosophy. It is very clean, low key and even a bit solemn. When I use it, I feel I'm walking in a wet forest alone, surrounded by lines of pine trees - ages old and all rising to reach the sky. I tend to use it on rainy days to match my mood or spray it in the air to keep me calm when I read books.
