I am a big fan of Aesop and have tried multiple products from the brand before. Shaving normally is a bit of pain for me as I have sensitive skin and it get irritated really easily when in touch with the blades. The shaving duet has done an amazing job in making shaving smoother for me and also in calming down my skin after shaving.

Great products! Have sensitive skin and shaving has always been a struggle but these products make it a great experience. Lovely texture, the pre shave is great and the moisturiser is thick but not heavy. I actually use it every morning whether I shave or not.

Brilliant shaving serum that actually moisturises my face alongwith making the shaving experience really smooth. I also dont have as much razor burn or irritation after shaving, which has honestly a game changer. I used to hate shaving and now I dont mind it so much.
Really nice shave oil to keep the face soft and smooth after shaving and reduce irritation. Well worth the money. Great fragrance too!
A great product if you have sensitive skin. Love the smell. I shave every 2 days and a bottle last for 8-9 months.
My favourite shaving serum by far. Makes my skin feel great, and really helps get a closer and less painful shave.
Before buying this product I read the reviews and noted that previous reviewers thought it was good, but perhaps a little over priced. Having bought this and The Refinery Shaving Oil at the same time, because I was unable to choose without trying them, my preference is the Refinery shaving oil by a mile. Why? Well the Aesop serum is ultra-slippery, however you need to re-wet your face fairly frequently during your shave. More of a problem, in my view, is that it leaves my skin tight, like after you use soap. On top of that it I think I only achieved about 25 shaves from the bottle (1 pump per shave). So yes I think it is over-priced. Contrast that with the Refinery oil, yes, there is only 30ml in the bottle, but I use 2-3 drops on each side of my face for a shave, ... MoreBefore buying this product I read the reviews and noted that previous reviewers thought it was good, but perhaps a little over priced. So yes I think it is over-priced. Contrast that with the Refinery oil, yes, there is only 30ml in the bottle, but I use 2-3 drops on each side of my face for a shave, so you get many more shaves. Furthermore, because it is an oil you dont have to re-wet your skin as often. While you can still cut yourself (I use a Merkur razor), in my opinion an oil is slightly more forgiving than other shaving lubricants in this respect it gives an awesome shave, and if you look on the back of the pack it is filled with exotic natural ingredients. Negatives? Well it has a slightly unusual smell which some might not like - I didn't but have become more used to it and have chosen to overlook it as the product is so good. The only other negative is that because the bottle is filled to the brim, you have to shake it vigorously to get the product out for the first couple of shaves - after that it is fine. Personally I overlook this too because the bottle is old fashioned in that it is a simple glass bottle. No plastic insert nozzles to give an easy pour or any such nonsense. Overall I urge you to support a fantastic product that seems to come from another era in that it hasnt been 'tizzed up' by modern marketing. Try it!
If like me you aren't a fan of a foaming shaving gel or cream, and can't quite get to grips with Shave Oils - this is perfect. Containing the usual interesting mix of ingredients from Aesop - this gives you a soothing, close shave and leaves no after-shave irritation. You don't need to use lots each time so it will last a while. Also perfect for Travel - 100ml and comes in a lightweight bottle.
Shaving is a hobby. I enjoy trying different shaving creams and soaps. Also, it's important in this review to share, I shave with a straight razor. I had to give this product a try because an Aesop sales person who demonstrated the product was very persuasive and, I'm somewhat embarrassed to admit, I thought that the small quantity, she said, needed to shave, and the high price, and the exotic packaging, might point to some kind of remarkable shaving discovery. Well, well, yes and no. Yes, it does provide a lot of lubrication, and it leaves the skin soothed and treated after a shave. No, I would not buy this product again because it requires a lot, not just a few squirts, a lot to shave a whole face. So the price is prohibitive. Also, as another reader correctly ... MoreShaving is a hobby. I enjoy trying different shaving creams and soaps. Also, it's important in this review to share, I shave with a straight razor. Also, as another reader correctly posted, you can't get a couple of passes with one application of the product. Far better to use Proraso and others that swirl to a thick lather and allow a few passes for a fraction of the cost
