Aesop Sculpt 100ml Hair Polish

I was gifted this product and wasn't sure about it at all to begin with, but it has pleasantly surprised me. I have medium length, thin whispy hair that gets greasy very quickly- I always have it up in a ponytail and usually use a hairspray to keep my baby hairs at bay. However, this product works SO much better than any hairspray for my flyaway. A little goes a very long way and I like it because it doesn't make my hair greasy and it doesn't make my hair hard, it quite literally does just sculpt your hair and keeps it there without it feeling like you have product in your hair.

If you are expecting to have the longest lasting hair gel - don't buy this. But if you are looking for one that makes you feel good about your hair - this is the one. It won't hold your hair for longer than 8 hours (I have short hair). But it definitely does the job well and helps style it well. Unfortunately I have noticed that the longer the hair is - the harder it is to style it with this product. It claims it smells citrusy - that's not so true. You have to really sniff close and when you are rubbing your hands together. Once it has been applied on the hair there is almost no smell. Overall 8/10

A nice smelling hair gel in a pleasant packaging

I have thin, wavy hair, which I wear as an outgrown pixie cut (it grows really slow!). It is a very pleasant product, not too sticky and it smells nice and not offensive which is important. Packaging is recyclable which makes me very happy. All in all a great hair product for my short cut - gives it a tiny bit of volume and hold and a nice shine. I will repurchase.

Great for fly always !

Tried a sample and had to purchase full size ! Works on everyone in my households hair from short to long from curly to straight - we all love it and it permanently sits on the counter top in our kitchen!! (I know weird) but it’s the only way we can always find it as there have been too many arguments ! Great for taming strays - slicking down fluffy kids swimming hair my husbands bed hair my daughters smooth sleek hair - you name it - it works !

Perfect for sleek buns

I use this to put my shoulder length, straight hair in a sleek bun of ponytail. It keeps all my short pieces and flyaways contained without being crunchy, it makes my hair sleek and shiny and it smells like Coke bottle lollies. I’ve almost finished my first tube and I’ll definitely repurchase.

Quality and results as expected….

Aesop is such a great brand in my opinion . High price points yes but everything I have purchased from them has been of excellent quality and does what it says . This hair gel is great for my short , fine hair . A little blob is all I need rubbed onto my fingers then onto the roots of my hair . Seems to make blow drying quicker , probably because it gives my hairbrush some grip (not stiffness) to style . Will definitely re purchase although this tube will last months !

Rubbish, i returned it

Bought it for long hair to hold curls for my wedding. The gel smells amazing but once in the hair it immediately sets rock solid and you cant even get a brush through it to make it sleek, let alone apply heat and hold a curl. Used it again for a wet look sleek parting but in photo’s my hair just looked greasy. So disappointed i returned it. Yes it hold’s firm but you can’t use it to hold any hair style worth while having.

I discovered this after reading up about It in a magazine. At £23 I was a bit sceptical tk buy as I’ve had fairly bad experiences with expensive hair products where they go to waste as they don’t work/suit my hair type. Bit the bullet on this one and decided to purchase for a upcoming holiday to a week festival abroad and knew I would be truing my hair up and needed something strong to hold/keep the flyaways at bay. This most certainly did the trick and hair looked ever so slick when tied up into a high bun/pony tail. I actually quite liked the smell of the product as well. Dropping a star as it does make your hair feel a bit crispy. Not sure if that’s cos I might’ve put too much on? Texture, but most importantly smell...

It's Aesop but not as you know. Thinking of Aesop, you might expect a clay or wholesome mud-like hair paste, but this is a thick translucent gel, that binds and holds the hair. The smell is by far the biggest surprise, and I may be misleading you with this, but for me it smells like creaming soda. I get a dopamine rush when I squirt some into my palm and the fragrance wafts in my direction. Lathering my damp hair with this smell is very exciting. Smell was the primary ingredient that I was looking for in an up market hair product, and this does not disappoint.
