This is my first helmet. I fell in love with the styling then then airflow. I wanted a white helmet and there's not many available at a budget. I got this for ~240 USD after tax. That's probably more than I would have been willing to pay but I just liked this one. It's light, small overall, and protects my head. Everything about it is good except some people won't be able to get past no drop down visor. There are slots in the foam that making wearing normal sunglasses and option. I haven't used sunglasses on the bike tho. I usually just squint lol. Also there are super flexibly thin sunglasses available that I might recommend if you wanted to wear sunglasses. You can probably find them on fortnine youtube channel.

Bought to upgrade to the latest ECE 22.06 certification, coming from an old HJC CL-15.Fit: My head measures at 55.5 cm which according to the chart puts me in a size small. Initially the helmet was pretty tight to squeeze into, and once on, my cheeks were pushed into my teeth tightly. With limited riding so far (< 5 hrs) it is already much easier to put on, and the cheek pushing is easing up. Probably won't need to move to the next size up (padding only) if break in continues like this.Noise level: Better than the old helmet (HJC CL-15) but can't imagine anything newer these days being worse than that. Only issue is where the upper section of the pinlock seating area tapers back to the regular shield it is very distorted (understandable) and occasionally leads me to believe something is in that area of peripheral vision. Added a thin piece of electrical tape to this to block it out and now this is much better. Can't see the tape or distortion while wearing.Weight: I don't ride long enough to notice, it's lighter than the old one though.Airflow: Decent enough for moderate speeds, not great at slow which is expected for this style.

Great value. Aerodynamics are great compared to my HJC helmet that felt like a brick in the wind.I got the matte black and it actually looks a lot darker and glossier than the picture make it seem. I would probably call it "satin" rather than matte.Only complaint is it lets a bit too much air in under the chin even with the vents closed. That feels great on a hot day, but when it's cold out your face will get chilly. There is an included chin insert that should block that airflow, but I've never used it. When you do actually want the airflow and open the vents, it's fantastic. The interior is just okay. It's definitely not as premium as some other helmets I've worn, but it's still perfectly comfortable.

Great helmet, but not without flaws
10 April 2023

I bought my AGV K1 around September of 2022. It is currently mid-April, 2023, a little over 6 months later.Overall, it is a great value. It is comfortable, safe, and the vents work pretty well. The quick release system for the visor is super handy, and the visor stays in the position that you put it in without getting blown open or closed when it is set in a halfway position. What has kept me from giving it 5 stars is the build quality. The black trim piece at the rear bottom portion of the helmet has broken loose on one side. The tab itself snapped, so I'm unable to put it back in. What appears to be red stitching on the bottom of the cheek pads is actually held on by adhesive, and has already started falling off. What appears to be red stitching on the bottom of the cheek pads is actually held on by adhesive, and has already started falling off. Additionally, and this one could have just been user error, the wind deflector that sits beneath your chin was very difficult to install. I could not find instructions anywhere and mine did not slide in very easily at all. I gave up 3 times before finally securing it the 4th. Since then I have had no issues with it, it stays in place quite nicely and prevents the wind from blowing open my visor when I check over my shoulder on the highway. My final complaint is that it is LOUD when you are going freeway speeds. I don't have much else to compare it to so I'm uncertain how much better other helmets do at blocking wind noise, but after a half an hour of riding I usually experience some temporary hearing loss. For the price, it is a fantastic helmet. Is it perfect? No. But it makes an excellent first helmet. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an entry level lid that will keep you safe.

K1S/Visor

Feels, fits and looks premium. Could not be happier with this helmet. Especially with the price. Great air flow and by far the quietest helmet I've owned. Best bang for the buck imo. I would recommend sizing up one size. I'm normally a large and it fits perfectly fine but an XL would feel better I think. I fitted my Scala Rider and GoPro in it as well. The iridium visor is expensive for sure, but it is incredible and imo necessary. Super clear and you can literally look into the sun without getting blind. It makes me feel like I'm looking into a filter on my iPhone lol. I highly recommend this helmet.

Looks/feels too bulky in size large
21 September 2024

The K1 S is a real AGV helmet minus the bells and whistles. The fit, finish, and comfort are beyond any other lid at this price point (trust me, I tried them all). I just wish it came in more shell sizes. There's only one for large to 2XL. If you're unfortunate enough to need a size large like me, you'll look like a bobble head. The larger shell size also contributes to weight and wind resistance. If they had just added one more shell size, it would have been a perfect helmet. Regardless, I'd still rather be wearing this over any of the other competitors.

Way better than my first helmet. I rushed my first purchase and bought a large. Turns out I'm a small, oops. This a great helmet initially. Great with glasses and lots of hair. Fogs up a bit without the pinloc at lights but nothing you can't manage. My complaints after one year of owning... 1. I still haven't been able to buy any face shield for this helmet (except clear which it comes with) for a year now, always out of stock. Wtf2. The vent on the chin sealed itself open. No bugs or anything, just a summer of not being closed. Now it's permanently open. Maybe when I have time to disassemble it i can fix that. For now it sucks as the weather drops.3. The red lines on the underneath of the helmet on the face pads is coming off and starting to look bad. ( only I ... MoreWay better than my first helmet. I rushed my first purchase and bought a large. Best in class venting is another way of saying...this helmet is loud, a little cold, (I wear a balaclava everyday) and a bit cheap.I still like this helmet, but was hoping to get some sun relief, and a little more then a year of use before I already want a new helmet. Would not buy again or recommend because I'm sick of cheap gear that can't hold up for one year without falling to crap.

Outstanding Helmet for the price! Premium quality
12 January 2024

Came from a SM/MD K6 and a SM Ruroc 4.0 and the SM K1S fits perfectly. I like the fit more than the K6 and its aerodynamics are miles better than the Ruroc. I've always been hesitant of getting helmets with big graphics but this one took the cake with the design. Only flaw i see is the fielld of view is not great compared to the Ruroc but it's something you get used very quickly and the top edge of the pinlock sits right where your line of sight is when your in full tuck, but it's easy to work with. All around great helmet!

RIP I'll miss her
21 September 2024

Such a cool-looking helmet, I got quite a few compliments on it surprisingly! The one thing I didn't like was that a bit of debris (dust, tiny rocks, little bugs, etc.) would fly in through the vent holes even if you close the top ones, and get in my eyes occasionally (usually in construction zones or dense forest). But I seriously loved this helmet so much. I recently got side-swiped by a car going about 90 km/h and slid across the road and over the dividing island somehow mainly on my back. One side of the visor popped out but other than that it stayed in tact! I'm pleased to report no head injuries whatsoever, not even a concussion. 10/10 would recommend.

This helmet saved me
8 March 2024

Recently had a very bad accident with a pickup truck, this helmet most definitely saved my life and I'm so thankful.I had a bad accident with a F-150 that turned in front of me when I had a decent amount of speed. My bike made a dent and my head made one. I had severe brain damage, road rash, a broken wrist & hand, and broke both legs. The CBR is totaled but I still have my life. I'm still recovering and my right eye isn't what it used to be but this helmet definitely did what I needed it to. It wasn't this color I had an older Rossi graphic because it was an older K1. The K1 is the bottom of the K series but it definitely works, if you're considering a K1 based on price it will do good as long as it fits. Thank you AGV
