1st Helmet- Home run!

Bought this helmet due to the reviews and the sale price. It is an excellent helmet, very comfortable! My first motorcycle helmet and I feel like this will last a long time. Looks good on the head, I got the Nardo Gray and it matches nicely with an all black fit.I had this helmet for about 3 months now and it is broken it well to where it conforms to the structure of my face and head. It has a good ventilation system where it does not get too hot. The pin lock system does a great job of preventing that. I highly recommend this helmet if it's your first one. Also, it's ECE and DOT certified, can't go wrong with that! I love both of the Arai's, but I have neck soreness on long rides because of their weight. I was hoping the K6 could help.So are the positives I found with the K6:-weight: this is really a game changer. It feels very light and made a significant difference in how my neck felt after a long ride.-comfort: it is very comfortable for me. No hotspots, and a very soft and plush material.-Noise: this helmet is dramatically quieter than either Arai. Seems easier to operate than the fussy latch on the Quantum X. About equal to the much simpler latch on the XD4.The negatives:-it's huge: I wear a size ML which comes with the large shell. It is physically a larger shell than either size Arai (size M in the Quantum X, and L in the XD4). When I put it on my wife's first comment was 'Wow, that thing is big!". I wish the ML size came with the medium shell.-ventilation: it was a cold day this morning, about 40 degrees. In this weather I have to keep the vents on the Arai closed or my bald head will freeze. With the K6 I had all the vents open and was not feeling cold at all.-visibilty: shoulder checks on the K6 were more difficult than on either the Quantum X or the XD4. The K6 is so much thicker at the eye port that it blocks your view when trying to look back. For comparison, the XD4and Quantum X are 1.5" thick while the K6 is 2.25" thick. I ran a test when I got home and the rearward visibility on the Quantum X, even with the smaller viewport is better. The rearward view with the XD4 is drastically better. Perhaps with the K6 in MS size this would not be an issue, but you sure feel it with the larger shell size of the ML.In summary I like the K6 because I feel less stiff and sore in my neck and shoulder area after a long ride: the reason why I bought it. However if I could have an XD4 that weighed the same as the K6 it would be my perfect helmet.

The outstanding feature promised for this helmet was for it to be lightweight. Reading the weights and comparing it to other helmets in its category does not prepare you for the experience of putting it on. It is amazing. The effect of a helmet has always been to weigh one down after a long day in the saddle, but this thing is a bargain at twice the price.Like others, I note that while the vents exist for moving air past my noggin, the cooling factor is less than I might prefer, but the ability to open the visor just a tad bit seems to balance that shortcoming sufficiently to where I just don't care. The peripheral vision is great, the pin lock inclusion is nice and the visor lock does not obscure my vision, but it does add to the safety margin. Taking off the visor is a 5 sec function. The double D ring is the correct choice, and I have no fraying red tag problem yet.I got mine in matte black and I think the appearance is very nice. The interior seems top shelf and the cheek pads make me feel a bit like a hamster, but tight is nice and it is breaking in a linear manner. My head is just over 60cm and after trying a Lg, traded for an XL which is correct for me.I think the helmet is a great value, the rating is good and i like the multi layer tech. I do wish it was made somewhere other than where it is, maybe Italy or I don't know, but I guess AGV is watching the QC. Hope so. 5 stars.

Comfortable, beautiful, delightfully light. High quality clear coat on the gloss black. Exceptional visor connection that?s easy to switch out and durable. Has the most rigid visor dentents I?ve experienced in a helmet. Breath deflector is a good touch but you still need that pinlock insert (which is included). Neck roll feels supportive(and likely helps with sound level) without making it hard to take on and off.I wear an XXL and have found this shell?s overall dimensions to be smaller than two other helmets I?ve had, which I appreciate.Yes, the visor release button takes a moment to get used to before it?s a one gloved-handed operation. Great Upgrade Helmet at a Reasonable Price
9 March 2022

This purchase is my second incursion into AGV helmets following my first upgrade to a AGV K3-SV when I initially started street riding a few years ago. Now I am looking for increased protection and a more substantial helmet to begin exploring more aggressive riding and tracking. This helmet fits like a glove and trends exactly like the other AGV models i have tried. Compared to a K3 or K1, the carbon shell weight is barely noticeable. It is comfortable and firm with good liner pieces and neck roll. I appreciate the rescue pull tabs for the neck roll. Small pain in the ass with the collar roll fasteners when transferring my Sena SMH5 , but channels present for ear speakers were perfectly located to ensure ease in listening top music or making calls.Overall, a ... MoreThis purchase is my second incursion into AGV helmets following my first upgrade to a AGV K3-SV when I initially started street riding a few years ago. Check out the K5 if that's an absolute necessity, but I may just go tinted visor. The K6 is massively lighter and more protective for a couple bucks more. Always worth in in my mind.Sliding "eyebrow" vents on side of top center vent are a bit hard but the others are quite easy to locate and operate even with gloves. Button release for visor takes adjustment to get used to as I didnt have before but it retains design for city visor cracking which helps keep cool.Hat size (American) - 6 3/4 - 7.0Relatively Skinny Face.

K6 - K sweet
16 January 2023

Love this helmet. It's so light (less than 3lbs.) & absolutely no buffeting regardless of speed or helmet angle. Wide field of view, and although the vents are small, the first click on the visor (half shut) flows tons of air. My only gripe is the visor release, not the best design and it can stick occasionally. But that 1 thing isn't significant enough to matter. I have 2 other helmets that cost twice as much as this one, yet I pull this one out of the closet every time. I'll admit that if I went down hard, I'd rather have my Arai strapped on. But that says more about Arai's dedication to safety (which naturally adds weight), than it does about the K6. But again, I always reach for the K sweet when saddling up, the Arai is cold and lonely in my closet since I ... MoreLove this helmet. My current helmet - light as a feather, sleek, stylish

I picked this helmet because it fit my head shape very comfortably and no other helmet in the store did. I realize that each manufacturer has a unique shape and the fit is very personal. This one felt very good the minute I put it on. It is tight as I am still breaking it in.The things that I like about this helmet is that it looks very good, it is super light and comfortable, the interior is plush and smells very good, the fit and finish is top-notch and high end. It is streamlined and very quiet. So quiet that I took off the windshield on my cruiser and at 60-70 mph, it feels quieter and calmer than with the windshield. Never really had any trouble with fogging. And it is DOT and ECE certified of course.I miss not having a drop-down visor. The helmet comes with a clear visor and the sun beats on my face in the mornings and evenings when I happen to be driving towards the sun. Cool, tinted shields are available, but they are $100 more. At that price ($600), you can get an AGV modular helmet with a drop down sun visor. This is my only regret.

Super light - hardly know it is there
29 July 2022

This helmet is incredibly light and breathable enough for me. A number of people complain of it being hot and I don't find it particularly hotter than other full face helmets I have worn. I come from an Arai full face which breathes better but is much heavier and larger profile. The smaller narrow profile on this helmet catches less wind on the highway and creates less resistance when making lane checks and that makes it feel even lighter to me.Visor release is easy, but new tinted one was harder to fit to it first time - will see if it is "learning curve" on my part. The button is pretty easy to operate with motorcycle gloves.Came without the chin curtain shown in video and described in product info. Not sure if this is a mistake or the standard.

Terrible in the Rain
27 October 2022

I've put about 2,000 miles on this helmet this year and while overall, I do like it, it is not good in the rain. If moisture gets into the helmet, it will consistently fog up regardless if you have the chin curtain installed or not. Bigger issue is that during a 8 hours ride where it was raining the whole day, it would leak consistently from the top of the visor into the inside of the helmet, exasperating the issue of fogging inside the helmet, even though it has pinlock! I tried with vents open and closed, it did not make visibility easy. If you ride in all weather, stay away from this helmet. Some good things about the helmet though - sub 3lbs, very light! Internal routing for headset is good. The AGV K6 is my new favorite piece of gear
18 August 2021

I love this helmet so much I'm writing a review. It's truly my new favorite piece of gear. I have waist length dreads which already add a lot of weight/strain to my neck while riding so I was looking for something very light and ECE rated, which this helmet has both. the comfort of the material on the inside is top notch, visor comes off and on very easily and without issue, the locking mechanism on the visor is made of metal which feels a lot more sturdy than my previous helmet (which was plastic), my field of vision is wide open, I didn't think I would but I've been using the barely open first click setting on the visor on hot days and it's great air flow without my eyes getting murdered by wind (even with the visor completely closed the air flow is good), also ... MoreI love this helmet so much I'm writing a review. I would 10/10 recommend this helmet to anyone, it very well may have made me an AGV fan boi for life haha
