Ahava Dermud Intensive Hand Cream

I have used Ahava products since the 1980s and love them. I give the hand cream as gifts to family and friends. My skin feels nurtured, healed, young. Thank you! I love AHAVA and use a lot of their products. My particular favorites are the hand and foot creams. Since I have both foot creams, I wanted to explain the difference at the end in case you were wondering and needed help deciding which one was right for you. First, all of AHAVA’s products are made in Israel using minerals sourced from the Dead Sea. This particular foot cream is actually enriched with Dead Sea Mineral Mud, as well. This is an intensive foot cream meant for very dry, rough and/ or sensitive skin. It has aloe Vera extract to help soothe and also contains glycerin, Shea butter, oils such as jojoba and coconut, panthenol and lactic acid. It’s a pretty thick cream with a light, pleasant scent and AHAVA recommendeds that you apply liberally at night until absorbed and then wear socks. I find this absorbs very well and isn’t greasy, so I personally forgo the socks. My feet are very soft and smooth in the morning. I love this cream! Since this is meant to be more intensive with the addition of the mud, I use this when my feet are more rough or drier than normal and use the Mineral Foot Cream on other nights. It’s a thick, creamy lotion too and also smells good (the iconic “water” scent) and absorbs quickly and not greasy. This one is made to be more relaxing along with moisturizing, softening and smoothing. It is enriched with tea tree leaf oil and can be massaged into legs as well as feet to help relax. It has a host of impressive ingredients too and my feet are also very soft and smooth in the morning. I love having both because they have different purposes, but you can’t go wrong with either. If you can only get one and have very dry feet or struggle with dry soles, then go for the Dermud Intensive. I honestly don’t think it’s too much for nightly use.

Rough, dry skin was noticeably smoother, and calloused areas were softer. It is an ideal solution for eliminating rough and dry skin. It has a gentle and pleasant scent, is easily absorbed and does not leave a feeling of stickiness or wetness. I saw the resoult after just a week and a half of using Ahava on my feet, I am truly impressed with this lotion. It is worth every penny.

I got this from a subscription box last year and I'm finally close to running out. A little bit goes a long way which is kind of surprising for how amazingly well it works! It softens my dry cracked heals better than any of the hundreds of products I've tried over the years. I only recently learned of the hand cream and body lotion when looking it up to order more and I for sure will be trying their other products!

Best hand cream ever

I have very dry skin and always washing my hands, we have extremely hard water in our house so all of my knuckles are always cracked and bleeding. I've used sooooo many hand creams, lotions, and was in the middle of a cycle of using two different prescription hand creams twice a day from my dermatologist - one steroid for half the month and one non-steroid every day - when my brother bought me this hand cream. Instead of going back to the steroid cream when it was time I stopped both prescriptions and just used this twice a day instead and it actually worked WAY better!!! (the steroids did work well but for the half month I wasn't using them my hands were awful, and if you can avoid them that's better anyway). Dermud Nourishing Foot Cream

I have been a customer for a decade. Although the new foot cream is adequate, it is not the same product. I will no longer be a customer unless you bring back the original “mud” foot cream. I do not like the consistency or fragrance of the new foot cream. I was able to buy some of the original “mud” foot cream from another online source. I know eventually I will no longer be able to find this product. I am disappointed that Avaha has decided to change the foot cream.

It is the best

I've used Ahava hand cream off and on for many years. Before the internet, it was so hard to find in stores where I lived, so finally being able to order it online was wonderful. I switched to the heavier Dermud as I got older and needed more moisture and intense nourishment for my constantly dry hands. I don't know why I ever try other hand creams. I always come back to Ahava, because it is the best. They also give the best samples!

The product does what I have never been able to accomplish from more expensive ones

I’ve tried many inexpensive and expensive products to do the same thing, to no avail. This one is reasonably priced and gets results. It’s about average for what you would expect them to cost because you don’t always get what you pay for and for the first time I did with this. The shipping took awhile, and I understand considering everything going on in Israel but it was already expected by me. The one thing I know must not have been sent out was my an active call in the jar for face moisturizer. That really must not have been sent because I have received all other products. I did reach out, but have now given up on receiving it.

After you're done with the rest of your skincare just slather a little bit of this magical mud cream onto both feet, it takes a few minutes to completely absorb but, then you're good to go!
