Every February, Nike rolls out a series of colorways to celebrate Black History Month. For its 2014 releases, Nike used the updated Air Jordan 1 Mid Nouveau. The mid-top features a maroon leather upper with perforations on the toe box for added breathability and used leather effects on the mudguard, ankle, heel, and Swoosh. The sneaker also boasts contrasting laces and pattern on the ankle collar, as well as BHM branding.
