This Air Jordan 1 Retro launched in September 2008, celebrating the gold-medal victory of the US men’s basketball team at that year’s Beijing Olympics. The design borrows the same patriotic color palette used on the Olympic edition of the Air Jordan 7—the shoe that Michael wore as part of the heralded ’92 Dream Team. It features a red, white and blue color scheme accented with celebratory pops of gold and silver on the leather upper.
