Debuting back in 1993, the Air Jordan 9 was the one sneaker to release during Michael Jordan’s 13-month stint in Minor League Baseball. Since its release, the Jordan 9 has featured a plethora of popular colorways such as 2019’s Gym Red and Pearl Blue. In 2020, Jordan Brand expanded its collection with the Air Jordan 9 University Blue. The Air Jordan 9 University Blue is constructed with OG color-blocking in mind. The upper holds a mix of white leather and black speckled overlays. Subtle hits of University Blue appear on both Jumpman logos featured on the midsole and heel, the “Air Jordan” tongue tab, and the embroidered “23” found on the heel.
