The Hawker Typhoon is a British single-seat fighter-bomber. It was intended to be a medium–high altitude interceptor as a replacement for the Hawker Hurricane but several design problems were encountered and it never completely satisfied this requirement. The RAF needed a dedicated ground attack fighter, and the Typhoon was suited to the role. The Typhoon found its fame as a low-altitude ground-attack aircraft, spearheading the airbourne assault through occupied Europe after D-Day. Airfix Starter Sets are ideal for beginners. Medium Starter Sets are a little more challenging to build than the Small Starter Set range, with more parts. This starter set includes all of the paints and glue needed to complete the model.
