Alternatives to Humbrol paints should be given. A, because their quality is poor and B, because they are not that easy to get hold of these days.

Fantastic, very nice detail model kit
Seems to me that Airfix kits just keep getting better. This one was a surprise but looks fantastic
Looks a great kit . Will enjoy building this one.
Just got model, will review build upon completion. Otherwise, ordering, shipping & delivery were 5-star. Thank you, JP/Houston, TX
It looks great, I like the moulding, but it is let down by poor construction. B8 and B7 have only one lug to support them on the fuselage and when section three is added the problems begin adding B18 in the section didn't look right. I went for closed guns and parts B5 and B6 were a poor fit not as flush as they should be. section 32 / 33 calls for tab to be cut. What I should have done was test that E15 was a fit, turns out it wasn't and was actually slightly too big even for the uncut area. parts E4 and E3 could have benefited from inserts into the wing to place them properly , section 60 and 61 parts E13 and 17 are to big and after slight sanding fitted opposite sides. i made the model with wheel up. The kit has a lot of minor sanding issues caused by the extra ... MoreIt looks great, I like the moulding, but it is let down by poor construction. The kit has a lot of minor sanding issues caused by the extra spurs on the parts, except strangely on Parts on A which were prefect. Also filler to fill the gaps around nose . For the price this represents poor value considering its newly released.
Cockpit is poor and detail a bit soft but otherwise a decent kit.
The kit is the only game in town if you want to make a Sabre F-40 on the ground with extended slats in scale 48. Quality of the kit is up to the latest standards. The service by Hornby is superb, as they offer free mailing even to Europe from a relative low ordering amount and have a European VAT account. So no hassle with customs fees etc., if you order from the EU.
